Rush GEM Fall 2021

Hello! I haven't seen a thread for Rush yet, fall 21 entry to the generalist entry masters program. I applied earlier this fall and received an interview invite a week or two later. Looking to connect with others!

I also applied to DePaul but haven’t heard back yet! 
 

One of the biggest differences is that Rush is an MSN program, while DePaul is an MS program.

The ability to sit for the Clinical Nurse Leader exam. I don’t think DePaul has tied into their curriculum. So if you plan on looking into leadership roles as a nurse it might be beneficial to have that certification and knowledge.

Hello all,

First time comment, but I also just got accepted into Cohort 30 (Fall 2021) so I figure I better start making friends.  I also applied to UIC and haven't heard back but Rush is my first choice.  I live in Chicago and have for a few years, so if you need any advice on moving here etc I'm more than happy to help.  Congrats to all those accepted and good luck with all your other applications.

I received an acceptance email today from Rush as well. So excited but now to make some hard decisions!

During the info session prior to the interviews I think they said the classes might be in person starting in September. I recall asking how it was living away from Chicago and I think Meghan said they might be in person by Fall 2021 cohort.

Hi everyone! I got an accepted! Congrats to everyone who was also accepted and to everyone that got waitlisted as well! Don't lose hope if you were waitlisted. I have some friends who were waitlisted from Rush in previous cohorts, but got in still!

Although Rush is my #1 choice, I'm still waiting to hear back from DePaul and UIC as well. I know some people have gotten a reply from DePaul already, so that is making me nervous since I haven't heard back. UIC is planning to send out decision letters on 3/19 (14 days from now).. so I'm wondering if I should wait out the 14 days to hear back from them first. ?

@wildepanda: Congrats on getting into both Rush and the other university! ? If you are comfortable sharing, how were you notified about a scholarship from Rush? I wanted to see whether I also received a scholarship or not ?

For those who are on the waitlist, I hope this gives you comfort. ? Wanted to share that in the last few cohorts, there have been people who were on waitlist #26 and they got in afterwards. So there are plenty of hopes! Will send out my good wishes to you all! ??
