Rush GEM Fall 2021

Published

Hello! I haven't seen a thread for Rush yet, fall 21 entry to the generalist entry masters program. I applied earlier this fall and received an interview invite a week or two later. Looking to connect with others!

Hi, that's great! How did your interview go? Was it in person?

Hello, I applied just a few days ago for fall 21.  I still waiting to hear back from Rush. How did your interview go?

Interviews take place in February after application deadline is closed, so still waiting!

Hello, I applied for the Fall 2021 cohort as well. I submitted in December and am also waiting for an interview invite. Looking forward to meeting everyone!

I have applied as well and waiting to set an interview. Can I ask If any one had healthcare experience? also what was your GPA?

I heard they give a lot of interviews, but I am not sure.

I had a 4.0 prereq GPA, a 3.8 undergrad GPA, and my healthcare experience is as a volunteer doula (labor/childbirth "coach") (my ultimate goal is to become a certified nurse-midwife).

Thats awesome! my prereq are around 3.40 and my overall is at 3.28. However, I have not finished my degree. I will be done in the Summer. Do you know any one who has applied in the past?

I have been working as a Certified

nurse assistant since last year.

Hi everyone! I applied on 1/11 and was invited to interview 1/15. Does anybody know if it matters when you sign up to interview (I.e., first date vs. last)? I assume it doesn't matter and they will do a pooled review after all interviews are complete, but I'm not sure.

I'm also curious about the acceptance rate if anyone has any info! I could only find an overall acceptance rate for rush (~50%).

I have a 4.0 prereq GPA, 3.93 Master's GPA, and 3.3 undergrad GPA in psychology. I have a few years of full time clinical research experience.

@gradentry2021 congrats on the first round! That's pretty quick turnaround, I'm still waiting for a response. I did email Meghan but got an auto reply that it would take ~48 hours for a response.

I know with job interviews, an earlier interview is typically better however I agree that results could be pooled. I couldn't find any specific acceptance rate info either, other than the general one you posted.

I have a 4.0 prereq, 4.0 Masters, 3.3 undergrad, no prior healthcare experience as I'm a true career changer - leaving a prior industry to join healthcare.

Hey Everyone,

I applied in December and I received my interview email shortly after. Wishing you guys the best, hoping see you all

Interview is February 5! will anyone be attending

the info session the 3rd?
