This is what they sent me when I asked for clinical hours requirements:

Good afternoon, it is the transcript course/degree evidence provided by school when the applicant is actually applying for CA RN licensure by exam or endorsement that is used to determine if the applicant has met CA education requirements. You may want to check with the out state programs you wish to attend to find out if graduates of that particular school/program have had any difficulties including course deficiencies that would need to be corrected to be licensed by either method in CA. You may want to explore application by endorsement after taking the exam in the state where you graduate from the nursing program. Looking at the endorsement option may also assure there is no delay in sitting for the NCLEX shortly after program graduation/completion. Please click on the attached link to review the two application options at https://RN.ca.gov/applicants/index.shtml
Hi everyone!
I am new to this thread. I currently live in Ca and have been applying to Samuel Merritt's ABSN program, their applicant pool is massive right now and there are very few ABSN programs offered here, so I am considering relocating. I am curious to hear how competitive Roseman is, id love any feedback! I just sent off my transcripts for evaluation and heard I may not receive feedback for up to 14 days. The woman I spoke with today told me they have between four and five hundred applicants so it feels a lot like SMU.... If anyone feels like sharing their experience so far I would really appreciate it!

Hi,
I'm from California too. My university in San Diego delayed a program and after that reduced a cohort from 53 to 27. There were more than 700 applicants and I, with my stats, (GPA: 4 and TEAS 86%) was denied. I don't want to waste my time and decided to apply to schools out of state. I'm waiting for a decision from Creighton University (AZ) and Roseman. Today, I got my interview with Roseman for a June cohort. It looked like that both locations are full, and they use us "just in case" if somebody drops from a program. As you wrote, the admissions representative said that there are more than 500 applicants for each cohort (of course, it happens because of COVID). However, if you have a high GPA and TEAS, you should apply. I remember that my advisor said that the average TEAS is 79% and GPA is 3.3. Honestly, I don't know what to recommend to you because I'm in the same boat. I was accepted to Ameritech College, but still don't know if this college is good or not. If you're interested, this link can help you https://www.ameritech.edu/

Thank you for sharing this, I am in the same boat as you guys. Waitlisted for USF Master's entry, and I'm not sure if it is worth applying to SMU with a pending class. Do you know if Ameritech graduates can get a California license!? I know some easy schools to get into out of state don't have enough credits or hours.

Ameritech has CCNE accreditation (it's so important). I sent an email to CA BRN and asked if schools out of California with CCNE accreditation meet California's requirements. This is the answer:
"schools in another state are not approved by CA BRN, if a out of state RN program has CCNE that is a national accreditation. Are you looking to transfer from an out of state school to an in state (CA school) then you need to determine if the CA School accepts transfer courses from the out of state college. Otherwise, you can attend an out of state CCNE school and meet licensure requirements as you mention, obtain a CA RN license through endorsement for CA licensure." So, as I understand, all schools out of state are not approved by CA BRN. However, if you graduate from a school in another state, you can apply for a CA licensure by endorsement. The same information I heard from an admissions representative during a Zoom session (Roseman). She recommended obtaining a license in Nevada or Utah and transfer it to CA. I forgot to say that if you are OK to stay in CA and can relocate, try Azusa Pacific University (several locations in CA) or National University (I applied here but was denied, but they highly recommended reapplying). And don't forget about Arizona! Check Creighton University! It's only a 12 months program:):):) I'm waiting for a letter of acceptance/denial from them. No TEAS needed. Only 10 prereqs+personal statement. 95% NCLEX pass rate and 900 clinical hours.

I asked the same question, and I didn't get a clear explanation. "

Looks like we can attend a CCNE accreditated school in another state and obtain a license in CA by endorsement.
P.S. I got my interview yesterday. During the presentation, I saw a slide about students who graduated from Roseman and found jobs in other states...California was on a list!
P.P.S There are 690 clinical hours in Roseman.

Awesome thank you for all the information! I am taking my TEAS with Roseman in mid may! And I'll check out Creighton and other schools in the states you recommended! Good luck with everything!
Hello,
For anyone who’s already been accepted, have they sent you any information on what your schedule will look like? I applied for the August Cohort but it seems like they’re almost all filled up so I’d have to apply for the OCT ABSN.. I just wanted to know how different is the scheduling with hybrid and in-person since I’d have to work while in nursing school to be able to at least pay for my car and insurance every month.. hybrid would work best for me since I’d have to work but I just don’t do well with in person classes LOL

Hello! I have been trying to find out about how out-of-state schools are qualified by CA BRN. On the website, it says we can apply by endorsement after taking the NCLEX & getting a license in the state BUT also states the program has to meet the CA BRN program requirements. If it doesn’t, you will not be able to be licensed by endorsement. I read the emails that were shared in this thread and it’s interesting that they still didn’t address how you would know if a program meets CA BRN requirements. So confusing! If anyone has insight, can you please share?! Thanks!
ps. I attached a photo with highlighted information for reference!

Hi,
As I remember, the deadline for a cohort that will start in June will be April 16 (it's from nursingCAS). It's a hybrid program. The program that will start in August will be on campus (I don't remember a deadline). If you completed all prerequisites, apply for a June cohort. I applied one week ago, and today I received an invitation for my interview.
