ROSEMAN UNIVERSITY ABSN FALL 2019

Published

Application period has just opened for the October cohort so I figured I should start a thread to see how many people are interested right now!

All questions, comments, and concerns about the program and interview process are welcome to be put down below in this thread.

Hi there! Who was your old Advisor? I have been trying to get a hold of mine Landon and have had no luck. I am getting ready to re take my Tease and apply to the next go around.

I had Paul. When I tried to email him, the ABSN Admissions Director replied back that he had left and had me reassigned to a new advisor.

Hi everyone!

I am currently a Roseman student at the Henderson campus! I used to read these posts all the time regarding the interview process and what not! Lol

If you guys have any questions, i'll try my best to answer!

And if you guys are interested in getting all the books required, I have all of them in very well condition! They helped me a lot and trust me, you'll spend A LOT of your time reading. ??. I also have Clinical scrubs (size M) and lab scrubs (size L) both are unisex.

But I wish you guys best of luck in this process & let me know if there's any questions!

- Cindy

Hey Cindy! I was wondering where the heck you even buy Roseman scrubs. I've been searching on google for over an hour now with no luck....if you could point me to a website or store I would appreciate it! Starting in South Jordan in a couple weeks!

You won’t be able to buy scrubs Or find used ones until you start orientation. They are all special ordered through a scrubs shop near campus. Once you complete orientation you will be on a preapproved list to purchase scrubs that will be embroidered.

What you said about the voluntary withdrawl is true. The school decided to not seek accreditation with the ACEN. However, I do believe they are regionally accredited with CCNE or the northwest one (cant quite recall right now), which might be why they chose not to get accreditted with the ACEN probably. But I might be completely wrong.

I would maybe try to see if one can get in contact with these accreditation organizations instead of just solely relying on what counselors say as well. Since you are gonna be paying lots of money, you should make sure it will be worth it in the end.

For those who are currently attending the South Jordan campus, which areas would you recommend for finding housing?

I would recommend the closer you can be to campus the better! So in Sandy, South Jordan, West Jordan, or Daybreak area. There’s lot of apartment complexes all over I’d suggest using phone apps like Zillow, Apartments. Com, Zumper and even the website KSL classifieds under rental properties for potential housing. When it’s snowing hard here the last thing you want is a long drive in traffic.

Thanks, I'll keep this in mind. I'll be looking for apartments in the Salt Lake City area since its the halfway point between the Air Force Base, where my cousin is stationed at, and the Roseman campus. Any recommendations around that area? Thanks

In that area I’d say Sugar House is a nice area but it can get really pricey. Also there’s two main sections of the I15 under construction so I’d say For right now use google maps during rush hour to see what the drive is like to and from SLC before you sign a lease.

@Ballerinabelle Did you end up being admitted to this program? Did you commute from California a few days a week? I am considering the same thing.

No, I ended up applying to an ABSN program at CSUSM and a community college in Stockton because of their accreditation. Roseman ended up not being my cup of tea because idk how I could further my education because of the their grading system.

I wont hear back from CSUSM for another 2-3 months and I’ll hear back from the ADN program in Stockton next week.

I highly reccomend if you want to go to a FNP program to go to regionally accredited college in Cali if you plan on working in Cali. If you have no plans to further your education Roseman would be okay.
