I would like to hear from students of this program, do you recommend it? I can't imagine doing the didactic portion of a Nursing program online and then coming to campus/clinical sites for the rest of the program. Are students graduating from this program confident of their nursing skills and then going on to successfully pass the NCLEX?
I talked to the admissions office at Roseman and they said that the program was regionally accredited. I also found out that this program is a COHORT, so I suppose the program is sort of experimental.
I would love to hear from current or graduated students of this program.
Thanks!
I heard from the advisor at NV that confirmed what you said - pass/no pass with 4.0 included. NursingCAS does require you to input your grade but if P=4.0 can't you technically just write "4.0" or I guess it's more of an issue when the system tries to calculate your GPA and freaks out. Ugh I afraid to commit to a school and waste my time if it impedes my ability to apply to schools. She said "students haven't had a problem moving on to Master Degree programs" but who knows.. they could be schoools in the boonies for all I know.
Hi,
Bumping this thread. I was originally planning on going to Roseman and applying for both programs but decided not to. There is a new regionally accredited school in Vegas, Summerlin area called Chamberlain. Though not acclerated, I think it suits me more since I am transferring many classes so my schedule consist only of 1-2 classes per semester. I have applied to both and familiar with the process if anyone has questions & interested in the NV programs lmk.
Hi! I'm a current student in the ABSN program in South Jordan, Utah. I began in October 2016 and will graduate in February 2018. If anyone has any questions about admission requirements/process, the University in general, the program, the curriculum, etc. I would be more than happy to answer. :)
Hi everyone!
I'm looking into applying to Roseman's ABSN program in Henderson for either February 2018 or July 2018. I've read through a majority of the posts and am a bit concerned about what is being said about the transcripts. If I were to go through with this program, I would want to go on to grad school to become a nurse practitioner. Have there been any recent changes other than the fact that the transcript would say 4.0 GPA?
@Nursebee
I'm not too sure what the earlier post in May means but it could have just been changed for them. I was applying for July and August programs & both interviews mentioned that they do a Pass/No Pass. (LV campus) I asked about it during interview and they mention it will be accompanied with a letter stating that it's 4.0. I still find that very sketchy if you plan to go for graduate degree especially outside NV. Pass/No Pass are looked down upon in my opinion. I was no longer interested due to this being a big deal since I plan to go NP in the future. Hope that helps! Your best bet is to ask an advisor yourself.
While I know it may seem kind of weird, I personally know people who have graduated from Roseman's nursing program and are being accepted into NP programs. I know one guy who has accepted into a CRNA program. While the pass/no pass system is weird, Roseman is doing all that it can to ensure students are being given fair shots at opportunities for career and education advancement.

My understanding is that NV campus also does the Pass/no Pass format. They have changed the policy a little bit, where they will be listing a 4.0 on the front of the transcript, but the Ps will still be what show as your grade for each block. This is a problem, since NursingCAS and a lot of schools themselves still consider it an invalid GPA.
