Hi all! I couldn't find any threads for Roseman's July 2021 cohort so thought I would start one. I am from California and applying to the Henderson NV campus. I know applications don't open until December 1st, but thought I would get a jump on this since many of us are getting application stuff together. Feel free to share stats, advice, or anything else!
Hi everyone! Good luck to anyone that's still in the interview process. You got this! ?
I'm a current student on the SJ campus (ABSN July 2020). My roommate (who is also a Roseman student) and I have a room opening up in May and we'd love to get another student to fill it! It's supah cheap ($400ish/month, pending a slight increase from our property managers), located in South Salt Lake. We're very laid-back and easy to get along with. The apartment is fairly well-updated with big rooms and decent light, and we keep it reasonably clean! It's pet-friendly. I have a well-behaved, 4yo cattle dog mix, and we are open to other pets joining us!
I would have to disagree with what people are saying above about living close to campus. Our place is about 20 minutes north of campus, which has been totally doable imo. As part of the ABSN, you're on campus maybe an average of once a week or so- a little more in lab-heavy blocks, but less during clinicals and non-lab-heavy blocks. So far, all of the hospitals I've been placed at for clinicals have been in Salt Lake proper, so it's been nice to live close by. The University of Utah, St. Mark's, Primary Children's, and Intermountain Healthcare have been our cohort's most common placements, and they are all in SLC. You'll likely have more than a few night shifts during your time at Roseman, and you certainly want a short commute after those! ? SLC also has a little more going on that South Jordan, so if you're coming from California (as I was!) that might appeal to you.
@Kattttie I saw that you posted looking for a room! Get in touch if you like! ?

Im currently retaking my A&P1 to hopefully improve my grade from B to an A and I will also be retaking the TEAS in July.
I need some advice if I should apply for the August BSN before May 1, or just wait to apply for the ABSN in October. Also, does anybody know how many times ABSN meet in person? Thank you!
I'm waiting for a decision from Roseman regarding the June cohort. They promised to send the information today. As I remember, the average TEAS score was 79%. It means that you're OK. Pay attention to your interview and your personal statement.

It's an open enrollment, so I assume it's almost a first come first serve basis. When did ya'll submit your applications and receive an interview invite?
Please update this thread if you've already been accepted to both Henderson and SJ. Thank you!
I am looking for a female roommate! You can add me on facebook https://www.facebook.com/saldivar.katherine

I would still apply, my STATS were pretty similar to yours, just a slightly higher TEAS score and I got in. They also consider your essay and interview as part of the selection process. Worse case, you just rollover you application to the next cycle.
