roll call!!

Published

Looks like they did some work around here!

Lets do a quick roll call to see who's here (pre-nursing students)!

I'm FutureNurse2005, hoping to start the BSCN program in Fall 2005. I'm in Canada and plan to move to California after I graduate! I'm completing my pre-reqs right now (I HATE MATH!! :chuckle ) and will be applying in December of this year.

I'm married with 2 kids and no pets yet!

Nice to meet you all! :)

Hi, I go to MCC also. I start the program in september.

Congratulations!!! I only had Psy 101 when I applied for this fall so I knew I would not get in. When I apply for the spring I will also have Eng 101 Bio 143 and Psy 212 now so hopefully I can get in for the spring semester. (56 quality points) If you don't mind my asking do you know about how many qualty points most of the people you know had to have to get into this fall semester?

Hi, I'm Christy. I'm 28 years old, married and am raising 4 little men. Well, not quite men yet. :rotfl: Ages are 10, twins 8 and a 17 month old cutie pie. I'm a stay at home mom and will begin my pre-req's while going nights this fall. I've heard there is a waiting list (why can't they get more instructors?) so for right now my main goal is to work hard, hard, hard to get good grades so I can hopefully be getting into the ADN program in the fall of '05.

This coming sem. I'm taking A&P I, ENG 101, Intro to Comp. and Pre-Algebra. I hope this is enough! I may have to squeeze 1 extra class in somewhere to move things along. :uhoh21: Not sure yet. I already have a couple of pre- req's from a few years back so that's a little bit of a load off, but I wish I'd done more back then. Oh, if I could go back..ha ha ha. I'm looking forward to sharing this experience with you guys and hopefully I can be of some help to someone in the future throughout this process! :p

Hi, Thanks WIll. When I went to orientation in June they told us that they had over 500 applicants. They only take 99 a semester as you already know. They have over 400 on waitlist. Which starts over every semester. I think it is safe to say the more you have done the better off you will be when you apply. I am just finishing up physiology and there are some 2nd semester(this fall will be) nursing students in my class. But from what I hear from the instructors that due to the amount of applicants you should have all prereq. done to have a chance. Quality points is big from what I hear too. The head of the nursing dept. told us at orientation that we should never believe all the rumors that we hear also so keep that in mind. I have a large amount of quality points due to another degree from the college so I am not sure if they look at nonnursing quality points or just nursing prereq. Study hard and get at least a B in your classes and you should be able to get in.

Hi, I'm 33 married Mom of one. Just got accepted to ADN starting in 2 weeks. My CC uses PSB to weed out the applicants (apparently they are changing to HOBET) Only started school last fall so thrilled to get in 1st time round. I didn't have a back up plan either, I have a hi need for achievement so I just HAD to succeed.

Good luck to all of you still trying.

Hi All! I'm a 27 yr. old wife and mother of 2 adorable little girls, 6 and 2. My husband and I are both currently taking our pre-req's and hope to enter the ADN program sometime next year. I work full time at a litigation support firm that deals mostly with "big tobacco." I have an A.A.S. in Paralegal Technology (2001), but working in a cubicle farm isn't for me. I HATE it!!!! So now it's back to school. It's pretty scary (financially) to think that DH and I will be in school at the same time, but I'm trying hard not to think about it!!!

I am applying for the BSN program Dec. 15th Ahhh next week! Fall 2006 here I come? I am getting ready to take my last A&P exam next wed. Study, study, study. Good luck to all. Getting ready to turn in my Statement of Purpose. Any pointers would be apprectiated before i make it final. Hope we all take the leap together!

i am currently working on my pre-req's for the adn program at the local community college. after that my goal is to attend loyola university to go through their rn to msn program.

hello to all pre-nursing students!!!!!!!!

Okay - sorry I am late - been up to my eyeballs in books, notes, and flash cards!

I am Ann, 35 from NE PA. My BF and I are proud owners of an 1850 house (that maybe SOMEDAY we can fix up lol!) and proud parents of 3 dogs (Rottie, Golden, and a Saint) and 2 cats. He is a paramedic and I was working in a stone quarry until the snow started.

I have a spot in the Fall of 2006 RN course at my "local" community college. I say "local" as it is about 65 miles one way from home, but oh well, it works for me what can I say.

I tend to lurk more often then post, but I try to help when I can, even if just to let someone know they are not alone.

Hi I'm Angelsarch and a returning student. I've changed my major from accounting to pre-nursing, and applying to the nursing program when I've completed my science classes-about 2years. I'm excited, yet depressed...scared too. My classes begin in January 2006, the first in over 6 years..seems like forever...then to all the studying required to reach my goal of RN.

May all of you/us reach our goals in life.

Angelsarch
