Mommies of pre-schoolers, need your advice
I'm in the same boat!! I'm married, have a 6 yr. old and a 2 yr. old, work full time and am a part time student. I'm wrestling with a little person right now over the use of this keyboard!!! AGGGHHHH!!! Sorry, I don't have any real advice for you....I just cram in the study time whenever I can (usually while I'm at work!). Just keep focusing on your goals!!

roll call!!
Hi All! I'm a 27 yr. old wife and mother of 2 adorable little girls, 6 and 2. My husband and I are both currently taking our pre-req's and hope to enter the ADN program sometime next year. I work full time at a litigation support firm that deals mostly with "big tobacco." I have an A.A.S. in Paralegal Technology (2001), but working in a cubicle farm isn't for me. I HATE it!!!! So now it's back to school. It's pretty scary (financially) to think that DH and I will be in school at the same time, but I'm trying hard not to think about it!!!

Babies we'll never forget
I have so much respect and admiration for nurses like you who work with little ones. It takes a special person with a truly compassionate heart. Your story demonstrates just that. It was very touching and reminds me of why I want to become a nurse. Keep up the good work!!

Need advice
What a sad, sad situation. My heart not only goes out to the littlest lives but to the young woman as well. From what I've read here, she may have some issues with self worth. I'm glad she has someone who does care for her, and I certainly hope you can bring her around. I will keep this young lady and her family in my thoughts...

Color deficient nurses
First of all, "Hi!" :) I'm new to the board and this is my first post. My husband and I are currently taking our pre-req's and we both hope to enter the ADN program next year. However, DH is color blind. He can see colors, but has a hard time differentiating between red and green. I was wondering if this could have an impact on his future in nursing, and if so, how? Are there any color blind nurses out there who can share some first hand knowledge? Thanks!!
