Looks like they did some work around here!
Lets do a quick roll call to see who's here (pre-nursing students)!
I'm FutureNurse2005, hoping to start the BSCN program in Fall 2005. I'm in Canada and plan to move to California after I graduate! I'm completing my pre-reqs right now (I HATE MATH!! :chuckle ) and will be applying in December of this year.
I'm married with 2 kids and no pets yet!
Nice to meet you all! :)
Hey everyone, like most of you I'll be starting my pre-req's in the fall at a BSN program in NYC. Trying to do all of this while working full-time in an un-related field. It's nice to know we have our own little community, so once the semester starts we'll have a place to vent:angryfire , shout hooray , and cry:crying2: . Good Luck to you all.
Great site! Hello fellow future colleagues, my name is Michelle and I currently have a BS in Microbiology (from Iowa State University - go Cyclones). I have been accepted at the School of Nursing at the University of Maryland in Baltimore for the Fall of 04 (I start in August and I am both excited and nervous). Anyway, I am finishing up A&P II at AACC, three more weeks to go then a nice little break - yeah!!! At the moment, I plan on continuing onto graduate school for my MS and possibly PhD, however, this is all subject to change as I originally wanted to be a Microbiologist... Good luck to us all.
Hello everyone, I am 25 married with no kids. I am in western NY currently taking prereqs to try and get into my local cc nursing prgram. (99 spots for 350 applicants) I will hopefully get in this coming spring since I now have more "quality points" than a lot of people that got in this fall. In the meatime I will just keep on taking prereqs. This fall I will take Physiology (my school completely splits up A&P into two seperate classes), Calculus, Issues in child development and health, and a one credit intro to nursing class. I am getting very stir crazy since I will not get to find out if I am accepted into the spring program until thanksgiving . So in the meantime I have been passing time reading these boards.

Hi all! I decided to change careers a year and a half ago from computer programming to nursing. I always wanted to go into nursing but started my family life young and fell into the programming thing. When I was laid off in January '03 I took it as my chance to make a career change. I sold my house and my 9 year son and I moved in with my parents.
I finished all the necessary prereqs for my cc for the ADN program. I had been taking classes for a business degree for the last 6 years and luckily most of them were the required gen-ed classes for the ADN program. If all goes as planned, I'll be starting the program in Fall '05.
