I'm in the NOLA area and I just passed the TABE test for Delta College. I have to take care of my admission fee and financial aid but I will begin in the Jan 2012 class. I'd like to find other LPN students starting @ the same time to keep up with and offer mutual encouragement.
I am a non-traditional student (I'll be 38 next month). I decided not to do the Charity LPN or RN program first (was stressing myself out trying to bring up my GPA/prereqs @ Delgado ) and figured by the time I do all of that - I could at least have my LPN behind me and then move on to my BSN.
I'm hoping to start in January, here in SW Illinois. Passed the test, did great in the interview, just waiting for my acceptance letter (they send them out in October)! I'll be 28 on Monday and I've got 2 kids, 10 mos. and 4, plus I've got my 12 yr old sister.
I am 39 years old, married, and have five children ranging from 2 to 15. I am starting nursing school in November here in Iowa at Indian Hills Community College. Already completed some general courses elsewhere. Would love to make some friends on this site. Thanks!
I am in the same situation. I am 39, 3 kids i am currentley at Delgado but I am stressing about the profile score. I applied for the fall 2012 class but wont find out until April. With Delgado it is a waiting game. I am second guessing it and thinking about Delta. What is the fee for LPN I heard its around 22000.00. I dont know how I would pay for that.
I am starting the LPN program Jan 30th in Jax Fl. I am new to this website but have found very helpful information on here. I am excited to start but super nervous! So maybe we can all help each other through the program in many ways! Best of luck to all that are starting this Jan 2012!
[color=#2f4f4f]today was my 2nd day! i have enjoyed every second of it so far. i go to fundamentals 8am to 12pm and drug cal 1pm to 2:15pm on mon-thurs. i am taking diet & nutrition online as well! we start clinical in march! i am too anxious! good luck everyone who is in their first semester! we can do this! :heartbeat

I'm in my second week! We do 6 months lecture then 5.5 month clinicals and preceptor. My school does the Florence nightingale theory.... Class then floor experience. I'm loving !! Fundamentals up until this week have completely sucked! But this week as been nothing but fun!
I start a 10 month accelerated program on the 23rd! I am scared poopless, lol. I have a 9 month old and a special needs 4 year old...still trying to figure out how I am going to manage this!
