Let's have a role call. All online RN to BSN students and former students (or those about to start) let us know where you're going, where you are in the program, and how you like it.
I'm in Florida Hospital College of Health Sciences. I just started in January and am in my fourth course "Methods of Nursing Research". I've found the support and the grading to be quite generous. But a lot of hard work!
Looking forward to hearing from everyone!

I completed my online RN-BSN program this past April. I started my MSN program in May. Figured while I was in the study mode, to keep going. :)
Awesome. What school(s) did you/do you attend?
I went to Jacksonville State University for my BSN. I am currently going to University of Alabama @ Birmingham for my MSN. (Nevermind the fact Im an Auburn fan!! :chuckle )
Ton of difference between the schools and the education. Dont get me wrong, the BSN program was great. Just that grad school requires soooooooooo much more time and discipline.

Good luck to you. Kudos for keeping at it. :)

Tweety, How long is your program???? Is it a typical semester in length?
Seems like you just started back, or is that my imagination?

my name is susannah and i am starting my online rn to bsn in the fall at university of south alabama. i just completed the prereqs. i have never taken an online class so i am unsure of how i will make myself do the work! i am afraid that if i do t "in my spare time" that i won't find any and will do other stuff. do you find it hard to make yourself do the work?

I did the University of Phoenix online ADN to BSN (finished May 04), then did the online MSN program (finished June 05) and am now doing a traditional clinical nurse specialist. Personally, I found that the online program required more discipline because it was very easy to let things slide. I ended up getting up two hours early each day and doing homework then and that worked well for me. Good luck...its doable.

Time flies when you're having fun.
I'm in my second semester, which is 15 weeks long per semester. They break the semester up into 7.5 weeks per class (but for next semester I'm taking some coreqs like humanties which they condense to 5 weeks). I can only manage one class at a time.
I've finished three classes out of 18! In April 2007. But I'm in no hurry and might take a break. :)
Good luck to you. It's very easy to get yourself distracted. What's saving me is I'm only working three 12-hour days a week, so I have no excuse to find time those other four days. Right now I have to study and look what I'm doing. :)

Aha! Thats why it seems like its so fast! The one class/semester seems like it takes longer, time wise it does......... but seems like the semester is flying by. Our last assignment is due 7/18, even though the semester isnt technically over until 8/10. Then fall semester doesnt begin until 8/18. So will be a nice break in there.
