Hey everyone!

I'm looking for a few responses to see if I want to spend my $200 and change on a review course or if I should spend it on myself.

:D

All my high stress nursing buddies are definitely taking the course, but I am iffy about it.... so I'd like some input.

Thanks in advance,

Reb

I did not take a review course...took the NCLEX while taking Percocet for an ORIF of my right ankle that had been done two weeks prior...passed the first time. I would take the money and have a great time on something fun!!!

I didn't do any preparation. Did two full days of testing back in the old days in Philadelphia. Got caught in a storm coming back from lunch on day 2 and took the rest of the tests soaking wet. Passed with high scores.

I took several review books & met with a friend for a few days in May after Graduation. We mainly hung out at the pool in her housing development, went swimming, and relaxed. Took the NCLEX July 3, and it cut off at 86 questions. Other than that I only used several CD NCLEX review. I passed.

No review, absolutely no anxiety, passed with a good score. I had to wait 3 months too, but when the envelope came and it had R.N. after my name, I figured I passed. Good luck Reb, buy a CD player or something with the money.

Exactly what I was thinking, she said aloud, sipping from her third bottle of Skyy blue malt liquor.

Malt liquor-GAG... she says as she takes another dainty sip from her second glass of Absolut with a squirt of lemon...on ice.

So, wadda ya gonna buy with your $200?? :)

Um, the smart thing would be to put it on my credit card that is about $50 away from being maxed.

But I'll probably just blow it on creme horns, liquor, and bath products and have a private party for me and the wife. :D

I took a review course and passed first time but only because I didn't have to pay for any of it and it was a week out of town. The hospital I went to work at paid all, hotel, meals etc. We ate big every night and left early during the day and went shopping. Had a real nice time. I didn't study and we napped during the review in the am (because of the nights before). This was also the dark ages when the test was taken with a pencil over 2 days.

If you study too much for NCLEX you get frazzled and the old brain clogs up. Be careful.
