Salaries, by name, for everyone who works for UM can be viewed at: http://www.michigandaily.com
There are several links near the bottom of the page to "UM Staff Salary Supplements" for several years. The documents are downloadable and in Excel spreadsheet form so you can sort them any which way you like; by job title, salary, name, whatever. Interesting reading for anyone considering a move.
Good luck!

at henry ford this year i started at 24.81/hr plus benefits and wknd/shift differential, providence was about the same +/- 10cents, my friends that went to oakwood said it was 23 something/hr, and as suprised as i was to hear, botsford was actually starting out the highest @ 25 something/hr, i dont know if that included the wknd/shift diff. or anything though.

Of the hospitals I have worked at, Henry Ford has the best benefits.

Try http:// http://www.lakelandhealth.org for southwestern michigan. They used to have sign-on bonus.
thats what i had heard too before i started working there and i have the normal HAP, no frills w/it and although i dont have to pay very much for a lot of options on there, my copays and coverage aren't any better than when i had united health under my dads insurance, and that one sucked. i wish blue cross wasn't so damn expensive, i would love to have minimal to no copays :(
I had Beaumont insurance for five years, the premium that was taken out each pay period had went up from 24 to 32 bucks and all my copays went up also. Hap isn't bad except that you need a referral for almost anything. The retirement at HF is much better, in my opinion. We have pension, a retirement plan and 403b. I have the retirement plan and a 403b there. I still have my 403b at Beaumont since I haven't officially quit working there and remain contingent.
ok well u sound like the person i need to talk to then, because my dad keeps driving me nuts about setting up all these extra retirement account things like 403k, which im assuming is the same as 403b?? i keep asking ppl at work about how i go about getting that started and they all look at me like im speaking greek lol. i have the retirement savings plan standard thing, but if i don't start up the 403 and whatever else it is my dad keeps bugging me about i'm liable to go insane! is there any way to sign up for it online w/out having to go thru HR? its such a pain to go thru them. any info u could give me about that stuff would be great, and at least keep my dad at bay for a lil while lol.
When you hired in did you sign up for the retirement savings plan? They take out 2-4 percent of you pay each pay period and then HF matches it. They don't match the 403b, which is the same as a 401k. I have mine through Fidelity and I think you have to go to employee services to sign up for it. Right now, I have 55 bucks taken out each pay period for my 403b and then HF takes out around 40 bucks for my retirement savings plan. I have about 12k in my other 403b account and its never to early to start one. Call HR first to see what they say. I'm pretty sure you have to fill out a form there because they want to know how much to take out each paycheck and then you can change it if you want when you sign in to HR connect.
For the retirement savings plan, there's another application you can sign into and change where your money is going. Its got different stock options.
ok so going to HR is unavoidable lol. yeah i do have the retirement plan, it'll be like a hundred years before i see any of it though

LISTEN TO YOUR DAD!!!!!
You won't miss this money all that much now, and as young as you are, it will grow like crazy. Trust me - the years fly by fast, and you will be the envy of all your friends who ignored their retirement funds until they were much older~
