Hello Everyone! After 26 years and accomplishing my RN degree here in NYC I'm ready for a change! I'm SOOOO OVER this city! I visited FL a couple of times for vacation and family visits and i love it! I'm looking to move either to the coral springs or fort lauderdale area. Just a few questions....
I'm in the Home Health Department the Start pay is around $25-30 per hour, I'm a staff nurse so Im full time employee. my hours are from 8am-4:30 pm M-F , shift differentials, you get time and a half weekend the same. Once if I finish my 90 day probationary period and work overtime ill let you know more specifically. As a new hire we wont get weekends any time soon. Hope this helps!
@ cynthia, So far I'm in love with Lee Memorial, the system, the people, the area, just everything. I moved from NY so as you know it was a big change and the best I made. Everything is so organized, unlike the craziness of NY. They own a monopoly of facilities in the Lee county area, basically they own everything. My orientation was on the 10th and I met nurses from every department, they all were great, the trainers are amazing, and as you know they will train you it doesn't matter if you have 20 years experience, if your not ready they wont let you stand alone, period. With 12 years of experience you'll be the star of your floor , trust! they hire a lot of new grads, therefore you will stand out among the best! I sure did and I only have 3 years of Home Care experience. On top of it all Half of the places you go shopping you get discounts :yes:lol, For example i get 24% discount on my AT&T bill every month just because I'm employed by Lee Memorial:) My experience has been great! i guess thats why there are Top in the nation and among the nations best! if you want to know anything specific let me know!. Best of Luck!

CRN85 send me some good vibes!
Our yearly deductible is 350 per person or 750 for family, 10% coins, no life time max, and yearly out of pocket is 2500/7500 for a family. Copays for dr visits are $25 but if you see a dr in our Lee PHO network you get a $10 discount bringing it down to $15. You also get a free wellness visits each year. Visits to employee health are free as well as antibiotics.
I'm curious about your health plan. What's your monthly premium and max yearly out-of-pocket?
I believe that they assist with relocation but I'm not sure. I would have to look at our HR site. I send my daughter to private school because of personal preference but here's the info on schools in the area. There's school choice so you can send your child to any school as long as it's in your zone.
Lee County Public Schools - Department
The school's rating is based on F-CAT scores but I believe they are doing away with state standardized testing and implementing Common Core next school year but again I'm not to sure how everything works my daughter is in private. I could ask a co worker if you would like.
Thank you so very much!! It would be a big pay cut but cost of housing is much less. Do they have a nurse/patient ratio ? Do they assist with relocation ?if you could, maybe you can ask a coworker about the public schools for elementary. I have 3 kids that I concerned about :)
thanks!!!!
