Hello guys
I am a new member of this forum. I have been following lots of news from you guys. It is actually pretty good forum of all. I am a nurse from Thailand and I have got my RN licenses in USA. I feel like I am far away from my home. I want to relocate my work to Australia which is pretty close to Thailand and study my Grad school as well. Anybody know how much the nurse get paid in Australia?

Please check out the stickies that are located here on working in Australia. It is not going to be a quick process for you to get your license and documents to work in Australia, similar to what you went thru to work in the US.
Be aware that with the new non-stop flight to Singapore, and the one that will be starting to BKK, you are only talking aobut another hour or two flying time.
(I lived in BKK.)
Salaries are also much higher in the US.

In Queensland, working for public sector, pay starts at approx $21 per hour, new grad, basic pay. Of course, you get paid a little more if you have a BSN. According to Qld Nursing Council (QNC), if you have US nursing licence, you can apply for registration here, processing time is approx 6 weeks, maybe less if you submit all the documents requested. Like you, one of the reasons I chose to live in Australia is because I can be closer to home (Asia), shorter flying time etc. I went home a few months ago ........... it was great arriving home on the same day I left QLD . If I can help with further info, please, just ask.:)

Life style is really important. Tell me more about the life style in Australia? American life style I can tell you is really weird.
If I have a US nursing license, where is the best place to apply for licensure in Australia?
I am RN in US and would like to apply for nursing iicensure in Australia. Is there an international exhange program for nursing education, say USA to Australia, that would include both school and work?

What is it like working in Australia. Do you need to be certified for specified areas of care, such as ICU may require ACLS. Are there classes offered in hospital settings to train for telementry ect?
Thanks
