What do you look for in an online RN-BSN program?

Low cost. Accreditation.

beyond considering the basics like accreditation and cost, you would want to identify your personal preferences and align your priorities with the various plans of study.....such as ....how long are the courses (5 weeks, 8 weeks, 12 weeks, etc..) and how long is the overall program till completion.... can you attend part time, half time, or full time...and what are the 'participation' requirements each week (i.e., how many times are you required to log-in to the classroom and post each week).

I'm switching RN to BSN programs for the opposite reason of the above poster. I didn't think I liked working with groups so I was in a program that started classes whenever you wanted with no official deadlines for papers . There were only suggested deadlines. It was 5 papers for class usually in 15 weeks. Which for me meant like 5 papers in 5 weeks at the end of the semester. I need time pressure and peer pressure to get anything done. I'm switching programs now .. I'm looking into a couple of hybrid programs where I'll get some classroom time. I'm smart but lazy and need objective pushing.

When I was looking for an RN to BSN program, my criteria were that it had to

1) be online, so I could go to school without me having to schedule work around it,

2) offer assessment and pathophysiology, because many California NP programs have those courses in their pre-reqs (I didn't want to graduate with my BSN and have to take those two classes after the fact because schools that I'm applying to require them),

3) be affiliated with a brick and mortar school/not be a for-profit, because although online education is becoming more acceptable, I'm aware that still exists a stigma among some people towards for-profits... I'd rather not have that be an issue when applying for jobs or grad school in the future, and

4) have grades, so that my overall GPA could be boosted up due to my low GPA from my first undergrad degree.

I already have my adn and would like to get my bsn which are the classes that I can take to graduate with BSN degree?
