Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

Published

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated!

Pants are white (so cruel) and the top is navy blue and the jacket is white. I found out today that we have to have a stethoscope, a penlight, and bandage scissors. My grandfather was a PA and passed away and my mom is thinking I should be able to get his stethoscope, so that will be cool. I cannot wait for orientation!

Yes white pants are cruel! :p Is the school emblem on the jacket? Sorry about all the questions. I'm ready for orientation as well I want to know when clinicals will start. Lol, I actually want to know a lot but I'm sure it will all be covered during our 7.5 hr orientation.

I was also told today clinicals would start in the 4th week! Lol. I want to know what our lunch will be at orientation haha. I don't think the emblem goes on the jacket but I am not positive

The logo actually does come on the jacket! I just looked at the ordering site

Lol ooooh I'm so excited! I'm going to check their website out

Is there anyone applying to Riverside Health Careers RN program for Jan. 2014? Can any current or past students give insight on what a typical day is? along with their admission experience. There seems to be little information.

Does anyone know what the minimal score you have to get on the teas V for the RN program at Riverside?

I believe you have to get at least a 65.8

It is 65.8 to be allowed to apply, but the chances of getting in with the minimum is slim to none.

I'm applying for Jan 2014. I applied for fall but my teas score wasn't up to par for the fall semester for RN so now I have a choice between RN and Lpn and I'm defiantly trying to take the RN road it's much faster for my future plans. I took the teas v twice and now I'm attempting it a third time ? As far as admissions goes there's the application process the teas v test then if your score is high enough the interview then you basically wait it out to see if you've been accepted

This isn't true in all cases I work with a girl who's in the program right now and got in with that score and her pre-reqs weren't the best but she's doing really well in the program.
