Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

Published

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated!

Butting in.... I also live in Portsmouth!

Hello ladies,

I've been a "looky loo" watching your tread for a while now, decided to say hello today . I too am planning to apply for admissions to Riverside. It is my No#1 choice at his point. I am applying for the LPN-RN bridge program which does not start until July 2014. I have completed all of my pre-req's and currently have a 4.0 GPA. I still need to take the TEAS though. I went to the open house last year and was extremely impressed with the facility. Have any of you taken the TEAS yet, if so how was it ? Praying for the blessing of acceptance!

My GPA is right at a 3.0 without this semesters classes so I'm hoping my classes this semester bump me up to a 3.5. How did your test go?? I'm still chipping away at this book studying ?

Are you applying for the fall? These are my scores...

My adjusted individual score: 86%

ATI academic preparedness level: Advanced

Reading AIS: 85.7%

Mathematics AIS: 90%

Science AIS: 79.2%

English AIS: 93.3%

Yes I'm applying for the fall but I've heard they have rolling admission which scares me a little because I want to start in the fall not in January. Congrats on your scores though!

Hmmmm where did you hear that?

I think I saw that they have rolling admissions on an older post. I'm not sure how true it is but I would prefer to start in September too. However, I will accept starting in January, especially if I wouldn't have to reapply.

Same here! I just want to get in, but I agree the sooner the better. Anyone going to the open house next Friday? The admissions lady told me my score looks great!

Unfortunately, I won't make it because I'll be out of town. I did go to the open house in December in hopes of some graduates of the practical and professional nursing programs being there. There were some instructors there and they talked to us for a little while. It went nicely, I liked the school and faculty members that were present. If you go, let me know how it goes.

Was there a lot of prospective students there? I'm excited to be going!

I saw it on an older post as y'all have already said. I'm going to the open house on Friday! Hope to see you there

Ahhh yay! I really wish I knew about how many people are applying
