Riverside School of Health Careers RN program

Published

Hello everyone!

I am looking for current, past, and even prospective students for Riverside's RN program. I will be applying for the September 2013 professional nursing program. For current or past students, what was your GPA and teas score? Also how was the program, instructors, clinicals? I did attend the last open house in December and I was hoping that a student or recent grad would be there to talk about their experience. I love how the instructors seem to be really supportive and the small campus also appealed to me. To other prospective students what start date are you applying to and do you have any other nursing/healthcare experience? Any advice or other information on the program is greatly appreciated!

I think I might actually check this site more than I check fb

Specializes in ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC.
I know! That's up to two months :( how's the studying going?

Very good! I'm more confident about taking the test now because of this book

It sure is. I was super happy to FINALLY find some people in the same boat as me for the same school! I'm not getting my full lunch today so I have to wait until Monday to drop off my application. I'll be there bright and early Monday morning before work!

It is so nice to have you guys! That book is soooo so so helpful. Ahhh darn, Monday will be here soon!

I had a great time hanging out with Michael today at RSHC! We went over my transcripts and planned out my next few semesters of classes so I will be able to apply. I am still thinking about doing the LPN program there, it will help me get into the RN program more than anything. It is nice to understand the point system a little better too. Guess volunteering is in my future :) !

I emailed with him today. He is so encouraging! What do you know about the point system?

They all are up there, such a warm, welcoming bunch! Let's see, extra points for living on that side of the water, extra points for volunteer hours in the hospital, extra points for working in the health care field in some way, obviously grades, utilizing the shadow program...

Hmmm ok! I won't be getting any of those points..except the grades ones. He did say though from what I've told him I sound like a competitive applicant. They truly are all so great there. One if the top reasons I want to go there so badly.

When it is my turn to apply.... I won't get points for living on that side of the water, but I have time to volunteer, and I am doing the shadow program *highly* recommend it, it is awesome! I just hope I get great grades in my A&P1, A&P2 and Micro classes :)

He is very encouraging! But like both of you said everyone is great! I didn't know about the point system...interesting.

I just know that the majority of the points come from prereqs, the TEAS V score, and your interview score. Some are awarded for other things but are not weighted all that much.
