Riverside Community College Nursing Spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!

Monica A, which ever school you go to, i'm sure you'll be a good nurse. Become a great nurse. I just got out of the Hospital today from the ER and you can tell the difference between a bad, good and great nurse. :notworthy:

Oh no! I hope you're okay and it wasn't something too serious! I will certainly take your advice to heart :nurse: its a shame how some nurses out there couldnt care less how they treat their patients but its our job to not let that become a trend!

ok everyone I'll be logging off till Nov. I am now going to study for the TEAS exam full time. Cheers!!!

I went to RCC and confirmed with the program counselor that they had received all application materials including my application which I sent from my Mac. I didn't know that they scheduled the TEAS V, so I scheduled it through PSI and have already taken it and received my scores. Think I should be okay. The program counselor indicated that 75 points was the cutoff at the information session. After 75 pts. they use the lottery for admission.

Thank you Karmat for that info. We are all studying for the TEAS C exam. How did you do on your TEAS?

Pily20 How did you do on your TEAS?

Scored in mid 90s for National and Program Percentiles. Adjusted score was 83.3%. Good Luck on your testing.

Karmat 83 is good. Congrats!! What was the hardest for you?

Math was the hardest because I had a question when moving from Reading section to Math section and it took the person overseeing the test a couple of minutes to come in the room and answer the question. This left me a couple of minutes short at the end of the math section and had to rush through those last few questions. Science was the easiest

has anyone heard if having an ipad is useful for the program? I have a laptop but have heard that a tablet or ipad is useful but didn't know if anyone else heard the same thing?

Thanks!

I'd like to know as well, hopefully to start saving up : )

Has anyone received an email for invitation or denial to the TEAS at RCC yet??
