Wow that is a lot of money. There are people, i'm sure, that are tossing and turning to which college they will invest that kind of money right now. Distance in school plays a factor because of gas. I heard there are a lot of applicants accepted to other programs. I'm sure they too were given an ultimatum to spend now before school starts.

Absolutely! I'm guessing that they don't want us to procrastinate. Before you know it, February will be here and school starting. They just want people to be prepared.

Hello everyone. Congrats on getting in. I just finished my first semester at RCC SON and it's been great. Here are a couple pointers that I saw questions about in some of your posts. Let me know if you have any more questions and I'll do my best to help you out.

The ATI is not part of your tuition. You need to purchase it before you can register, and you will use it for the whole program (one time payment.)

Most of the costs for RCC are before you start. For the following semesters you pretty much just have to pay your tuition and parking. I hunk there is one additional textbook you buy for 3rd semester.

Books are cheaper on Amazon. You only need a couple of the books new for the digital media stuff. I'm pretty sure it's just the 2 Taylor books and he McKinney book you need new, but I'll double check.

Ah thank you that's such a relief!! On the schedule they gave us for the first two weeks there is a ton of assigned reading....should we get started on that? Will the reading be that heavy the entire semester? Thanks for your help I really appreciate it!! :)

Hey guys so I finished everything that is required prior to starting the program (immunizations, background/drug screen, ati testing payment, American Database uploading and even bought my books from Amazon which was $757 but that's minus the 2 Taylor books, luckily my sister had those already) but I'm unsure if I email ------------- now or do I have to wait until all my documents uploaded to ADB have been verified prior to emailing her. Does anyone know if they said wait till documents are verified or just immediately email her?

"The packages will be labelled "Pre Publication" on LWW.com, but the packages will be delivered immediately." I thought maybe "Pre Publication" was his way of saying out of stock. Im not 100% sure though.

I think the prices are pretty similar. I personally chose amazon because I have a store card with them and got 12 months interest free financing which will save me money in the long run. Also, if you never signed up through amazon before you can use your RCC email for 1 month of free Amazon Prime 2-day shipping but just make sure you cancel it prior to the end of the 1 month trail or you will be charge $42 per year for the membership.

I have a question about the ATI packet though.

I was wondering because in our packet it is stated that we must complete immunizations, CPR, background and drug screen by Jan 8 for priority registration. Does this mean that we can purchase the ATI packet, uniforms, and supply kit after Jan 8?
