Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!
Hi tampham, Oh my i think with your pts you are a shoe in for the program : ). I would NOT even worry. I did it through a place in Corona. It was the shortest time, I finished just in time to submit that for those extra points. I would not really recommend them, they are super un organized. But if you still want to know it is Pacific Times HealthCare College. I think right now they have a 16 day program to get your license. It is state certified. But even though you did not score as high, I think you have a great chance of getting in : )Hi Steph143, how long does it take to finish the CNA? In case, I need to improve my total pts if I dont get in this time around. Thank you.
I'm sure you will get in tampham! 85pts is competitive!I didn't do so well on my TEAS exam either, I scored 75%.:-/ I'm bummed now because that only leaves me with 75pts, but I am staying hopeful! (:
I also have 75 pts overal. I took the teas last year at loma linda i scored a 72, had I known I wasnt going to accepted at llu, I would of studied even harder to score higher, but since RCC's policy is the way it is, I can't. I think we can still get in Pily20 : )
I got a 75.6%omgeeeeeee hahaha. So my analysis is i'm in the 80% program percentile. Meaning out of 120 people that took the exam, only 24 people got 76% and above. This means there are 56 available seats left. Let's be hopeful. I have 75 points
Oh wow! Same here, I also got 75. I think I was really hungry and couldn't not concentrate enough on my exam lol. Anyhow, let's remember that some of those people who scored above 76% might be accepted to another nursing program and deny RCC. (:
Yes the nursing adviser told me as well last cohort got in with 75 pts : )@Steph143, Yep we gotta stay hopeful!actually was talking to this one guy today that said his friend had gotten in with 75pts last semester. He himself also applied for this semester with 75pts, and felt pretty confident. Either way, I'm still making an alternative plan. lol :)
No they do not count whether you are an RCC student or not. They go strictly off of points. So I think you do have a great great chance of getting in!!!Thanks for all the info Steph. Even though I have a chance to get in, Im still worried because I never take any class at RCC, plus my low Teas score( Hopefully, transfer student with a low Teas score wont affect my chance.
