Riverside Community College Nursing Spring 2014

Published

Hello everyone. I just wanted to start the thread for all the new applicants of RCC's Nursing Program for Spring 2014. This thread is to help each other stay current with old and new information about the program. Share your thoughts about the application process, teas V preparation, acceptance, and support group. Let the applications begin!!

Hi Steph143, did you put in an app at SBVC too? I though I saw your post about Nursing at SBVC before. I also applied to Valley for Spring 2014. Just received a denied letter from them. All my hope is on RCC now.

tampham what are your stats?

Hi Tampham, Yes I did want to apply there because I felt I had a higher chance of getting in. Until I spoke to them and they are still choosing their applicant from former waiting lists. They only were selecting very few from the new point system. I'm sorry you were denied I kinda had a gut feeling I wasn't going to get in, so I didn't bother spending the $90 on the hesi. They only accept the hesi from their own school, not if you take it anywhere else. At Mt San Antonio College (Mt Sac) you can take the hesi for free.

I feel you on my hopes placed on RCC. It has such a better reputation than Valley : ) I hope we all get in!

If I don't get in this time around, than I'll apply again, to valley, victor valley, and Mt Sac, and to Cal State San Ber.

I also got my letter of denial from SBVC :( and I had 90 points overall and a 97 on my HESI...

Hi Steph143, I think you made the right decision that not to apply to Valley at this time. I took their Hesi twice, and still only got 80%. My total was 80 points. Yup, I hope we all will get accepted to RCC. If I dont get in this time around, I will reapply to RCC, Valley, and Cal State SB.

Hi Monica, Im sorry you were denied. It cant believe that you got denied with all that good points. I only had 80 total. Do you apply to RCC too?

does anyone know how many applicants are there in RCC? Does anyone know if they prioritize RCC students?

Hi Bigota, I dont know if they prioritize RCC students, but I heard they prioritize Riverside residents.

Yess I've applied to RCC as well. Its my last shot now.

Awwh soo sorry about that! I had a feeling for myself even If I scored in the 90's in Hesi for Valley it would have given me like 85pts. I felt like I still wouldn't get in. But there is hope still for RCC : )

Wow! Yeah I think if we apply for next term we could get in, that is IF we dont get in at RCC which hopefully isnt the case lol...

I just graduated from RCC's RN program. I was not an rcc students when I was admitted and I live in riverside county, but not riverside city. They do not prioritize off of where you live! People lived I. Mission viejo, Victorville, Rancho Cucamonga, and even Irvine.
