Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!
Has any of the alternates gotten an invite yet?
That's a big negative for me. Wonder when they get to that point; if people usually decline their spot or if it's more background, drug testing, etc. that weed people out? This waiting in sooo stressful. I thought my family would finally have an answer so we can make plans; we have to move in order for me to attend RCC. My husband will need to start looking for another job for next year. Just praying that if I get in, I'll be notified sometime in early Jan.

I'm hoping when the lvn advanced placement people get chosen that it will free up some spots

I'm so excited!!!
I applied for the advanced placement spring slot. I already passed the AP exam, and was waiting for an invite to test in, and get into the 4th semester. Aparantly a few students didn't pass their second semester, and I got a call from Steve on Thursday inviting me into the third semester (winter) because I was at the top of the list for AP.
I'm super excited that I got a spot but, class starts on January 3rd, so I'm having to rush to get everything done on time (and of course the uniforms in my size are on back order).
