    I am in a little predicament…

The focus right now is you obtaining the job. If you end up getting accepted for the job, take it and for your friend, you can tell them what ended up happening. It's not your fault for interviewing for a job at the same hospital while waiting for the manager. How long are you willing to wait for the manager to call for an interview when you've already applied to the hospital and had an interview?.

    Late to clinical

Thanks everyone! I spoke to my general instructor about it and she said, "lets not have it become frequent because it can be problematic and that's when it involves more people from the school" and also, she going to see what I can do to make up the 2 hrs. I was definitely thinking the worse that can happen (like being dismissed) or something but yeah.

    Late to clinical

I was late to clinical for the first time and it devastating. My alarm didn't go off and when I finally woke up, I woke up at the exact time clinical starts. So I got ready as fast as I can and because of how far my clinical site was, it took me an hr and half to get there and with traffic, so I was late by 2 hrs. My clinical instructor said that she's going to have to report it/note it because she wants to set an example to the other students in our group so that they'll know they can't get away with coming late and told me to make sure to not come late ever again. This is my first time being late and it's my second semester. I know now I will have multiple alarms set to wake myself up. I just feel extremely bad this happened and it's been days but I'm still hurting.

    Opps, broke something? Maybe?

Yes. I was able to complete my task.
  6. I had clinical on Thursday and during clinical, I was taking vitals for my assigned patients. When I was getting the vitals machine cleaned and ready to go to my next patient's room, the thermometer fell onto the ground. I picked it up and noticed it had a missing piece on it. I'm was unsure if it was already on there or not, so I look on the patient's floor to see if any piece came off and fell on the ground, but I didn't find anything. I did look at the machine and tested it to make sure it still worked and it did. So now I just remembered that incident and I felt that I should have said something. A nurse did come in after I was done testing the machine, but I guess that distracted me or something. I felt that I should have done something. Any input?

I need to vent about my Nursing program

Congrats on the grades! Do you have any study tips/strategies? I start nursing school in the fall and I honestly don't know how to study.

Having trouble finding path to RN

Maybe consider applying to ADN programs and LVN programs. I'm from California and I applied to 4 ADN programs (2 lottery based and 2 point systems) and I got accepted to a school. My gpa and test scores were similar to yours.

Can I pass the HESI with only 2 weeks to study???

I liked it but wished I used it longer. I was a bit hesitant to buy it but I did and it was helpful. It provides a lot of questions, so it gave more study material.

Can I pass the HESI with only 2 weeks to study???

I believe so. I had two weeks to study for the Hesi A2 but I only focused on material I struggled, such as Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, and Vocabulary. For Anatomy and Physiology and Biology, I created notes and watched alot of videos. I also looked at different posts on here about what to study for the Hesi A2, which helped. It also depends on who you are as a person and how much time you can devote to studying. I also purchased the Hesi A2 PocketPrep App and it helped as well.
  12. Congrats!!!
  13. Letters will be mailed by Friday?
  14. No, mostly measurements like grams, meters, lbs, etc.
  15. I don't think we're being tested on Chemistry. For math, I need to learn conversions. That's one of my struggles
  16. I understand, it's crunch time right now. I've been mostly using the Hesi A2 3rd edition and outside sources. Anatomy and Physiology and Biology are two subjects I'm scared about the most.
