Riverside City College: Spring 2017

Published

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!

You can make an appointment at any time to confirm your points.

For Chaffey the evaluations dept took I think 10 business days was their time frame.. Yeah I've heard Chaffey is crazy strict which is fine but idk how I'll deal with the stress of nursing school if I have over the top mean teachers along with it.. Hoping for RCC.

I just submitted a transcript evaluation form today for chaffey. They said it's possible for transcripts to be evaluated in such a small time frame. I shall see. I'm also hoping for RCC!

Oh nice!! Congrats! I hope we both get our first choice! But I'll take anywhere :)

The evaluation was completed today. I just dropped off my application to Chaffey. All I have to do now is submit official high school transcripts.

I had my application evaluated and she told me how many points and what I need to get on the teas to be in for sure

Now but it may be hard to get in

Why will it be hard? Start studying now for the teas as much as possible. We all can do this.

So the evaluation was completed the same day you submitted it? :o Also, did they notify you by email? Did you tell them you need the evaluation by the 30th? I am thinking to drop it off tomorrow :sorry:

As for the TEAS, does anyone know if we have to send it in by the application deadline?

I dropped it off on the 27th and I asked if it was possible to complete it before the 30th. One of the ladies in the counseling department said it was possible but she she couldn't guarantee it. She said it couldn't hurt to try, so I did. The next morning I got an email that the evaluation was complete and I dropped off the application with the evaluation that afternoon.

Hi there, I submitted my app yesterday and I'll be delivering my transcripts later today. I'm applying to RCC and Mt. Sac. I already took the TEAS V and got an 86, hopefully that's a good score and I won't need to retake it.

Does anyone know if the GE GPA calculation is based only on the classes listed on the app under additional GE requirements, or is it all other classes taken except for A&P I&II and micro? I received a B in chem, but I'm not sure if it will be counted in the GE points calculation.

Good luck everyone!
