Published

Greetings all future RN students. I just wanted to start a thread for any potential applicants who will be applying to riverside city college RN program this September for Spring 2017. Let's all get together on this thread and share experiences as well as answer questions. I know the application period is 6 months away, but it will be here before you know it!

Hi Marley! Can you give us more insight on how the schedule is per semester? Is a part-time job feasible alongside the classes? Thank you so much!

Hello everyone. I applied and got in for fall 2016, if any of you have any questions regarding the application process I can help you with what I know and I went through. School hasn't started for me yet, so I have time to respond back:) I know the feeling of waiting and wondering if

" I'll get in" :)

I will have to work a part time job regardless if people say it's possible or not. I have two little girls depending on me. I've heard some students say it's possible. Let's all hope for the best! :)

My daughter works weekends.

Hi guys! Good luck to you all:)

I am also planning to apply for Spring 2017 but I am confused with their instructions on how to submit transcripts.

If my classes were taken at another college, do I have to get them approved by the counseling dept before submitting my applications?

Hi guys! Good luck to you all:)

The first step is to download the application (so you dont have to fill it out twice like i did). Save it i think it is with your first initial, last name and RCC student id. Then fill it out and press the save button again. Then send the application to the school via email. The email address is on the form. Then take your transcripts down to the nursing department. Do that as soon as you submit your application. It takes a while for the transcripts to show in the system. The nursing department will have them evaluated.

Good luck! Hope this helped!

Hi, I'm curious as to how much the cost will be upfront. What was your daughters experience?

What I have been told it's mostly the books that are the biggest money spender. Then scrubs. It's all broken down on the website. I believe there is one book package you have to buy through them but I could be wrong otherwise you can get Amazon prime student for the free month and save a little money that way.

I'm applying too. I believe I have 80-85 points after the teas test. I applied to two other schools too, rcc notifies last for acceptance compared to the other schools so hopefully I get into one.

Where else do you apply?
