I took the TEAS yesturday and I got an 86. So I calculated 70 points total. Do you guys think that is enough to get into CEP??

CONGRATS on your score! When I spoke to ***** she said people got into CEP with 63 points because the program is new and people didn't complete those extra classes you need to apply. So I would say 70 points is good! More people do know about CEP this time around so, I think the points to get in will go up.

I am applying with 73 points and I applied for both CEP/ADN.

Can anyone comment on my strategy? I'm stuck between PA and BSN programs. PA program applications don't open until April 2020 and if I get into RCC Spring 2020 CEP/ADN I was thinking about riding the wave until I get a rejection or acceptance letter from a PA program.

Is this a stupid thing to do?

Hi! I don’t think it’s stupid... I feel you need to figure out what scope you want to work in.... PA is on a different spectrum of nursing

Last semester for the ADN 2 year the cut off was around 76 and for the Concurrent enrollment the cut off was around the mid 60s. It depends on who’s applying for this period so the cut off changes every cycle. I’m going in with 81 points so I’m fairly confident I’ll get in. I’m gonna be super anxious come October/November waiting for that email. Good luck to everyone.

Yes! This is my second time applying to RCC and MSJC... I had been denied because I had classes in progress... This time I decided to apply to different schools: Palomar, miracosta, COD, Chaffey, RCC, and MSJC

Wow that's a lot of programs! That's very smart! I should have done that as well, but I didn't even consider any other programs outside of where I live. Hopefully thinks work out for the both of us!! What program are you leaning more toward?

The transitional program either at RCC or MSJC... Yes! Hopefully things work out for us!! ????

Specializes in None.

I forgot what Dr. ***** said about CEP tuition if you already have a BA/BS. How much is it roughly if you get selected for CEP and do CSUSB and CSUF charge differently?

I'm not sure how much, but I do recall it being at graduate prices... Both charge the same

Do you guys know how "alternatives" work? Like are they completely random or are they the ones who didnt make the cut off but came close?

I’m not sure how the alternative selection works

I believe they are chosen at random.

Hey guys I applied to the CEP program and looking at the course load, I think I want the regular ADN lol. Anyone else apply for both? Is it smart to decline the CEP if accepted and hold out for the ADN?

@hopefulkim99 If you don't mind my asking, what is the workload like? Are the classes for CEP taken at the same time as Nursing 11, 12 etc.? Or is it taken after the ADN program? Congratulations by the way!! ??????
