  1. Got mine on Amazon for $30
  2. Sorry what I should have said and really meant was “no justification for ME” — you’re right everyone has different circumstances.
  3. Those nurses who did private school are now paying over $1000 a month in student loan debt. No thanks. If you didn’t get in this time around, think of it as 6 more months you can be saving money and getting yourself to a place where you are even more prepared for the program. It will all work out. Last semester I didn’t get into the bridge at RCC. 6 months later I got accepted to two schools and now I’m able to choose which works best for me and my family. There is no justification for paying 100K for Bachelors degree other than wanting that instant gratification. Even more perspective: Medical school at UCR is around 40K to become a freakin DOCTOR.
  4. There are dozens of home health agencies in the area. I just wouldn’t do shift work. I do short visits for wound care, disease mgmt and med teaching, Caregiver teaching, etc.
  5. I plan on working a minimum of 20 hours a week. I do home health so it’s very flexible. If you’re an LVN doing the bridge, get in on that!
  6. I’m probably gonna decline the CEP and wait for the bridge. The CEP is 5 days a week for 2.5 years. I can’t do that. So if you’re an alternate for the CEP there is hope!
  7. I got accepted into CEP this morning. Calculated myself at 81 points
  8. I've spent some time looking at the Spring class schedules. The information packet on the SOB website lays out each semester. So for example in Semester 2 you take Maternity Nursing and Med Surg II. I looked at the class schedules and it looks like you take either one first and then the other section (example: January-March Maternity Nursing, March-May Med Surg II). The schedule looks like a bulk of it is on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Fridays and not all of the days are full days. The clinicals which look like they fall on Wednesdays or Thursdays are heavy days (12 hours). And then there are some days that you're only in school for 4 hours. --- that being said there may be extra Lab hours that we need to do here and there that are not listed. But from what I've seen as far schedules go, SBVC seems to be very well laid out which I am pleased to see. I've seen some other schools that are kinda all over the place.
  9. It sounds like you’re a strong candidate for either one.
  10. 47 points before the HESI. I got a 91% on the HESI which was just 1% shy than the top tier so I got 35 points. 82 overall.
  11. Seriously guys. Look at the Spring 2018 and Fall 2019 message boards. They were all notified in December (Spring) or June (Fall). I’d love for us to know by this week and hopefully we will. But logic says it will be similar to those previous semesters.
  12. Honestly if you sent the email on Friday and can show the email that’s all the confirmation you really need. There’s nothing in the email that explicitly states that you need a confirmation or that you even have to show confirmation at orientation. Just print your email that you sent If you’re worried about it. They sent the invites to the program out Friday. So even if you sent your response same day they wouldn’t get back until today anyway cause it was a holiday yesterday.
  13. I didn't but I plan on calling tomorrow morning to make sure they got my email.
  14. The email address provided in your acceptance message was missing the underscore. it should be sbvc_nursing
