A few words of advice:
- Definitely go get started on your titers and immunizations ASAP.
- If you need MMR or Varicella, do not get it between getting your 2-step TB tests done. Get the TB done completely, then do your MMR and/or Varicella. It will be rejected from Complio if you don't, and you'll then need the Quantiferon Gold blood test (can be $$ and a speed bump when you are eager to register).
- Buy your books from the Lippincott rep that visits during bootcamp (if he still attends!) You will get your discount right away rather than waiting for the mail-in rebate from the bookstore.
Again, congratulations, and let me know if you have any questions. I'd be happy to help. ?
We have to purchase two different bundles 1 from Elseiver and the other from Lippicott. My question is if we need to have access codes for the Elseiver bundle because we have all the ISBN numbers so I was going to try to buy used ones for that bundle.

You should be able to buy the Elsevier books used if you wanted because the Evolve access codes that come with new books are just extras that we don't need.

You don't need any codes for the Elsevier bundles. The coursepoint+ is absolutely necessary though, assignments and quizzes are created throughout the 2 years from those books w/ Lippincott.
I clicked the link to buy the course materials on Lippincott but there's a blank page when I try to type the information in. Also, are you guys saying we can buy a used version from both these two bundles? Should I really just wait til Bootcamp comes around to buy all my stuff? Thanks!

The Elsevier bundle you can essentially buy used since it’s just textbooks. The Lippincott bundle is packaged to include the online codes (that include e-text) and two physical texts. You can buy the physical texts new or used separately if you don’t like e-text, or if you don’t want to buy the physical bundle. Hope that made sense.

Hi sama34
Thanks for your words of advice. Since we have a few weeks to go before Spring starts, is there any studying that you would recommend we do to get a head-start?

That sort of made sense but was there a description sent from Steve/SON that says what this Elsevier Bundle is? How many books are there in total? Are previous editions satisfactory?

Yes, we got an email with all the ISBN of the textbooks we’d need if we wanted to buy them separately from the bundle. Off the top of my head, I want to say there’s 4 books in the Elsevier bundle, and I think 6 or 7 books in the Lippincott bundle. I don’t know if we can use older editions or not. I think we’d have to ask about that.
If you applied to the CEP program, you should call CSUSB and check for any items on your financial aid to-do list. I called to make sure that everything was in order for me and was told that I have to submit my Social Sec Card and my drivers license because Financial Aid doesnt have me in their system.
That could have been a disaster

Do you remember who you spoke to? I called five different people from CSUSB and no one seems to know what's going on.
