Yes, $1200 for 2 years of books. It’s a little better when you look at it with that in mind.

You will need to see a counselor to sign off your transcripts, so you can register for NRN-18. Once, you have passed the class, you will need to take the AP exam in order to be eligible to apply to the LVN-RN

So HKP, who’s the counselor that I need to meet and make an appointment with ?
HK who’s the counselor that u have to make and appointment and to see so that he can sign off my Teanscripts? Do I bring all my transcripts to that person ?

1,200 for which textbook?

It's not only one textbook its a bundle that will get us through nursing school. I guess you have to purchase the whole bundle before school starts and they have two bundles.

Do you guys remember how at the beginning of our intake day, S had said we were going to go over everything we went over and he also said that there would be someone that would inform us about our supply bag. Nobody did right? Unless I totally missed it? Does anyone have any more info on that if so??

The information for the supply bag is in the paperwork that they gave us at intake day. It also has the information on how much it cost and how to order it online.

But no one mentioned it, so you didn’t miss anything

Just so I don't get my hopes up I want to ask this now:

1) There's absolutely no way we can take even a two week vacation during nursing school (even during the intersessions)

2) Is it possible to have the hospital you will eventually work for pay for part of your tuition after you finish NCLEX? I might have to quit my day job but won't til I figure out how rough the first semester will be.

Thanks!

A hospital isn’t going to pay for your tuition unless you are already an employee. They usually will reimburse you for a certain amount per year, say for instance $300 or whatever their specific maximum is. As for a vacation, I think it would be totally up to you on how much you’re willing to fall behind. I’m not sure on the specifics of how many days you’re allowed to miss though. It’s your money, time and education, no one can stop you from taking a vacation, but be wise on making that decision.

Of course on the "already being an employee" part for tuition reimbursement. Technically once we have an ADN and pass the NCLEX are are presumably already working we can have the remainder of our CEO tuition partially covered by the hospital/clinic if applicable, no?

LOL please keep all of us posted about how things turn out for you, this gets more and more interesting every time I log in.

Has anyone in CEP received an email from CSUSB with their formal acceptance/ student ID?
