  1. I ended up signing up for the 2019-2020 FAFSA yesterday so hopefully there’s an update on that in a few days. I did send my transcripts over since I think that needs to be done before the 24th? And before we can even register I’m assuming.
  2. I stupidly did the 2020-2021 FAFSA and not the 2019-2020. No wonder no one could find any information on my FAFSA. Thanks for the help!
  3. Do you remember who you spoke to? I called five different people from CSUSB and no one seems to know what's going on.
  4. Yes, we got an email with all the ISBN of the textbooks we’d need if we wanted to buy them separately from the bundle. Off the top of my head, I want to say there’s 4 books in the Elsevier bundle, and I think 6 or 7 books in the Lippincott bundle. I don’t know if we can use older editions or not. I think we’d have to ask about that.
  5. The Elsevier bundle you can essentially buy used since it’s just textbooks. The Lippincott bundle is packaged to include the online codes (that include e-text) and two physical texts. You can buy the physical texts new or used separately if you don’t like e-text, or if you don’t want to buy the physical bundle. Hope that made sense.
  6. You should be able to buy the Elsevier books used if you wanted because the Evolve access codes that come with new books are just extras that we don't need.
  7. If it’s not too late, you can try Simplythebest HC in Colton. They have the class for $65 and they included the $16 book for free when I took it.
  8. Exactly! So I’m going to wait to pay for background check after we get more details. I believe we need polio and varicella, too. I got my polio vaccines when I was a baby so you might have to see if you can find your records. If you end up needing any vaccines, don’t forget to check out the health center at school. My insurance wouldn’t cover some of my vaccines and it ended up being cheaper to go to the school than my primary doctor. You can check the vaccine list if you go to complio and look at the details for the immunization package.
  9. I tried to sign up but I'm hesitant to complete it because I don't want to pay for anything yet until I for sure know it's okay to. I think you need to have proof of two MMR shots or titers showing you're immune to measles, mumps, AND rubella. And I think you also need a titer showing immunity to hep B, or at least start your hep B series ASAP because that takes a few weeks to months to have done from what I remember.
  10. Thanks for the reply and reassurance. I was just worried because last application period, the CEP students had to have their background checks done and received their confirmations within the next few days. I’m planning to work per diem and seeing how the program goes the first few weeks. As far as FAFSA, I was planning to wait for that confirmation email from RCC to see if there were further instructions on what to do in regards to CSUSB as well.
  11. Has anyone received their confirmation email for acceptance and started their background check yet?
  12. From what I remember, you don’t have to take the TEAS, you only need a 2.3 GPA in sciences instead of 2.5, and you have to pass the AP exam after taking Nursing 18. After, you’re randomly selected to take the skills competency exam and if you pass, you should be accepted. I think there’s usually around 10 spots for LVN to ADN per application.
  13. I think they should be separate grades. Science GPA is based off three class grades: two anatomy and physiology classes, and microbiology. I’m not sure how it works when labs and lectures are two separate grades either but I would guess they take the average of the two grades? ?
