Thank you for saying that!! It's really a hard pill for me to swallow that I might have to pay $50,000 for a BSN, but I can't wait and there is no real way for me to raise my points. I only have 62, so I know it's almost impossible, but I'm still hoping for a random spot at one of the schools. Because of not dropping several classes when I was younger, my gen ed GPA is about 2.7.

I am sorry you haven’t heard from them. I am a parent and in my late 30s. I can feel how you badly need this. Wanting a good future for the kids forces one to make daring decisions. If a private school can get you there, do it. My wife makes close to $8000/month as an RN. Luckily for her, she went to RCC, therefore no loans. However even if she had to pay $1000 for a loan, the balance is better than what most people call a decent pay. Go for private and fend for your kids.

Feel free to say you will not pay to go to a more expensive school, but saying "there is no justification" to paying more indicates that you know everyone's situation. If you were saying that as more of a no one should have to pay that much, I agree. But I'm 38 and have the most points that I am going to be able to, so unless I can turn back time and become a veteran, a foster child, learn another language, or slap some sense into my former self about the importance of dropping a class in time so that I don't get my gpa dragged down by some fs, I need a way to support my 3 children.
I'm in the exact same boat. May God help us. I looked into WGU and they are supposedly not even taking applications for their BSN program. ? I was hopeful for the CEP program because this past semester got in with 62, so now I'm also praying for maybe the ADN. I'm a single parent with an aging parent. Deff going to stay hopeful. We can only move forward from here.

Check with a counselor, if you went to a community college a long time ago and failed classes, you may be able to petition and have f's changed to w's. it might bring up your overall gpa. If theclasses were recent that wont work
Wow, really? That would help my Goa so much. Do you know which department? Or what the process is called?

Yeah, I forgot I also had a bad grade and I wrote a petition to remove that grade from GPA. the grade is still there but it is not in the GPA. They cannot though change it to W because it is not legal for them but they can remove it from GPA. Go do admissions, they have the form. And if they say they dont, as they told me, ask for a supervisor to help you from that department. Be persistent
check with a counselor, I think its rehabilitation something, but you have to petition the school where you got the f's...if you are at rcc now ask a counselor there to start with(like the name), it might take some time but it would be worth it, especially if you are now a much better student with mostly a's and b's.

Sorry what I should have said and really meant was “no justification for ME” — you’re right everyone has different circumstances.
