I just added up my points and I am at 57 points (B student, 70 on TEAS ?, CNA & foreign language)
I'm not even getting my hopes up but I will still apply for Fall 2020. Either way my Plan B is UCR in something health related.
Same boat. 62 points but no special exceptions. I'm going to apply one more time then pay for a stupid expensive college ?

*crosses fingers*
I'm not willing to pay for private school. I have heard to many horrors stories from my coworkers who are doing the expensive programs ?
My heart belongs to nursing but if I can stay within the healthcare field (besides being a CNA) I am happy with that for now,

Those nurses who did private school are now paying over $1000 a month in student loan debt. No thanks. If you didn’t get in this time around, think of it as 6 more months you can be saving money and getting yourself to a place where you are even more prepared for the program. It will all work out. Last semester I didn’t get into the bridge at RCC. 6 months later I got accepted to two schools and now I’m able to choose which works best for me and my family. There is no justification for paying 100K for Bachelors degree other than wanting that instant gratification. Even more perspective: Medical school at UCR is around 40K to become a freakin DOCTOR.

Some of us have circumstances that makes waiting a long time very difficult. Feel free to say you will not pay to go to a more expensive school, but saying "there is no justification" to paying more indicates that you know everyone's situation. If you were saying that as more of a no one should have to pay that much, I agree. But I'm 38 and have the most points that I am going to be able to, so unless I can turn back time and become a veteran, a foster child, learn another language, or slap some sense into my former self about the importance of dropping a class in time so that I don't get my gpa dragged down by some fs, I need a way to support my 3 children.

I totally agree with you. Because of the age, people sometimes are limited to different opportunities and age is the one that decides for us, not ourselves.
Also, not only fs drag out GPA down but even C and even B too. So, yes, I am on your side.

I’m probably gonna decline the CEP and wait for the bridge. The CEP is 5 days a week for 2.5 years. I can’t do that. So if you’re an alternate for the CEP there is hope!
