There isn't much new information about this school on these boards, so I am wondering if there are any current students of this school that can share their experiences, class schedule, difficulty, clinical sites, resources, etc...
And has anyone else applied for the Fall 11' class ?
hey dche3 this is what i found from their website..
students who are accepted to the program will be admitted to adn 151 by permission of the health sciences and nursing division. this course is a prerequisite for admission to adn 1st semester course (adn 150) and is offered in the spring semester and summer semester sessions. students who complete adn 151 with a grade of “c” or better will be admitted to the program in the fall semester.
so you have to apply to either their spring/summer >>> if accepted, take the adn 151 class during spring/summer >>> then start in the fall
Kind of an old thread but maybe someone here can answer. For those of you that got in, did you have a health care background? I'm starting the application process and considered this school. But I have no experience whatsoever, no licenses, nothing. So if points are awarded for that then I probably don't stand a chance.
I also saw their application wanted documentation for stuff like speaking a foreign language, first generation to go to college, hard home life, etc. Are these extra points people get?
I found out today that I was accepted to Rio Hondo College for the LVN-ADN bridge program for Fall 2012! Yay, so excited! If you call the office they are allowed at this point to let you know if you have been accepted or not. Letters are not going to go out for another few days, then RHC will be on spring break, so call and see if you made it! I can't wait to meet my new classmates!

Can anyone verify if Rio only accepts for Fall cohorts? I'm a little confused because they accept applications for spring and fall. However, I hear that even if you apply for their spring cycle it's for Fall.
