Rio Hondo College?

There isn't much new information about this school on these boards, so I am wondering if there are any current students of this school that can share their experiences, class schedule, difficulty, clinical sites, resources, etc...

And has anyone else applied for the Fall 11' class ?

I called to find out letters went out today at 2:30.

I did not get accepted :crying2: but I understand the competition is tight. I had all B's in my core science classes and A's in all my other requirements so I'm bummed a bit. But God is good and I have three more schools to hear back from! For those who got selected I am so so happy for you! I could only imagine how awesome you might be feeling! For those who did not get in, keep trying and don't lose sight of your goals to become a Nurse!

I just found out I was accepted!! I am still waiting to hear back from tons of other school so we shall see!!!

Congrats to everyone that got in. Does anyone know how it works if you get accepted into RHC but are still waiting for another school of your choice, if I accept it and get accepted somewhere else can I pull back from RHC? ANy info on this would help. Thank you!

Thats what I plan on doing, I think that is why most schools have an alternate list so they can fill the spots when people drop. I called and accepted, but not sure i will end up there!

I read my acceptance letter to RHC yesterday :) Will be joining some of you in the summer LVN transition class!

@Denisenike, I like your positive attitude, I hope you receive some good news from the other programs you've applied to

Is anyone else scheduled to take the TEAS test? I got the McGraw-Hill's 5 Teas Practice Test book on Amazon for $20. Any other recommendations?

thank you for replying mpetrides1984. do you know if there is a penalty for pulling out? if we both stay at rhc then we'll prob be in the same class :) my start date is june 4,2012. smooshcrickets i am scheduled to take the teas on april 11th.

I dont believe there is a penalty, i mean they know people apply to tons of schools, and many letters wont go out until april. besides what could they do? i would be starting the 4th as well, it looks like they have 4 sections for ADN 151. And to everyone taking the TEAS, it wasnt so bad. I took it in January and passed without studying really. I think if you review the book briefly you will be fine. but dont lose sleep over it!!

Ok thanks. I have my TEAS on the 11th of April also. Worried about it of course. Glad you passed it and don't have to worry about now. Do you have any tips for me regarding that? What bood are you talking about?
