Updated:   Published

Hi, I haven't seen a post about this application round yet. I thought I would make one so we can share our stats and share any updates from Rio Hondo.

84.7% TEAS

Experience: 50hrs volunteering, 500hrs work experience as a CNA, work experience 150+hrs as an LVN

That's really sad for those students who dropped out ? But really do hope they accept a large amount of LVNs. I wish they had a group of just LVNs with a program designed for them because it will help the success of the student and help get more nurses out there.

Nursing school is TOUGH. Ask us LVNS! It makes or breaks you!

I called the school and they said for LVN-ADN it should be end of October. If you don’t hear anything they said to call. I didn’t get to ask how though. I think they call us?

2 more weeks then.. here is hoping! Did anyone else get into another program?

I received a premature rejection letter just now. The admin sent out a letter by accident letting me know I was rejected and then recalled the email as the rejection letter was not approved by the Dean yet. So...I've been rejected LOL hope everyone has better news

Yikes! Sorry to hear! Maybe there is still hope? It’s not over until the Dean says no!

Lilidee! that's awful ? I feel like they should accept you just for that mistake. I hope you get into a program soon!

Where else have y’all applied this cycle?

I casted a wide net! I even applied out of state! October is going to be where All these decisions come in!

Nice! hopefully your net catches some bites. Where did you apply out of state? I got approved to start testing into cypress' program, but its a 6 month process. You have to take 2 entrance exam quizzes plus the TEAS, a skill evaluation in the Spring and a transition class in the Summer and after that, then they take you as space becomes available. LOL its exhausting

LBCC said they typically get 1200 applications!

But LBCC won't have their bridge program this year and may not even have it next year

Wow! I applied out of state in Maine. It a bridge and starts January. If I don’t get in I’m going there. I have family there.

Nice! it's always a good idea to have options. I hear there are better options out of CA

I also am testing at cypress in a couple weeks. What are you studying? First test is supposed to be a fundamentals style test. There is a options to purchase a practice test/material do you know anything about it?

LBCC isn't offering it and CSUF also did away with their lvn to BSN program...

I applied to LBCC regular ADN. I figure why wait?

Thank you everyone for your kind words! It's all good though. I hope everyone gets better news.
