Hi, I haven't seen a post about this application round yet. I thought I would make one so we can share our stats and share any updates from Rio Hondo.

I applied to both the regular ADN program and LVN-RN program. I really hope this is my last time applying.


My stats:

4.0 science GPA

3.3-ish general GPA

84.7% TEAS

Experience: 50hrs volunteering, 500hrs work experience as a CNA, work experience 150+hrs as an LVN 

2 life experiences

Bachelors degree

Hi! 
I am so glad to see a thread started for this application round. I applied on the 3rd, not sure if the application date matters. My stats are 3.67 science GPA, 3.67 overall GPA, 84% TEAS. I have 50 hrs for CNA (I just started.. I know it’s not much) I have 2 life experience and an AA degree. 
There’s always so many people with impressive GPAs and test scores with many hours but I’m hoping that by some chance that I can get in. *fingers crossed*

Hi! I applied too and anxiously waiting since I have average scores on my TEAS and GPA's. I have an active CNA license and have 500+ work hours. I have an AA degree and some documents for the life struggles part. I hope we get accepted

Does anyone know if they’re supposed to email us our acceptance or call? I was reading that some students were called for acceptance last year.

I’m not completely sure. I know when I applied last time, it was via email. 
 

Has anyone heard anything from Rio Hondo? I haven’t received anything regarding them receiving my application.

@VC-lvn oh okay thank you. I haven’t gotten a confirmation either if they received my application.

I got information from someone on facebook that acceptance should come in end of October. She said she wasn’t too sure about LVN-ADN though. Also, she didn’t receive a confirmation on her application either so she called.

None, and since they don't want students calling them about it anyway. I just hope they reach out via my personal email or call if I get lucky since they do not activate your Rio Hondo email unless you are an active RH student, which I am not because I'm from another CC.

I haven't heard anything yet. December?? I hope that isn't true LOL. I hope we hear something back soon.
