Rio Hondo College Spring 2023 ADN Program

Hi, I haven't seen a post about this application round yet. I thought I would make one so we can share our stats and share any updates from Rio Hondo.

I applied to both the regular ADN program and LVN-RN program. I really hope this is my last time applying.

My stats:

4.0 science GPA

3.3-ish general GPA

84.7% TEAS

Experience: 50hrs volunteering, 500hrs work experience as a CNA, work experience 150+hrs as an LVN 

2 life experiences

Bachelors degree

I just got the email! I was accepted to both the ADN and bridge program!

Not at all ? I don’t remember exactly what was needed for this application but my general stats were: 

Anatomy: A

Microbiology: A 

Physiology: B 

overall GPA: 3.68

TEAS: 80%

Work Experience: 5000+ hours as a medical assistant

Do you have a Rio hondo email? They didn’t let me sign up for one until I was enrolled in a class. So I’m wondering if they’ll email my personal account?

I have one but they sent the acceptance email to my personal email. I don’t think they finished selecting people yet because they asked me to pick which program I want to do. I believe there was a couple of us that applied to both programs on here.

@VC-lvn Congratulations! Do you mind sharing your stats? I applied for both as well! Crossing my fingers I get in! When is the meeting?

Good luck everyone!! I just came back from Cypress took 1 of 3 test to move in the Bridge Program in the Summer. But I’d rather go to Rio and not have to take 2 more test!!

Did you study for cypress? I took it yesterday and missed the cut off by a couple points.  I am hoping they can possibly just let me through or curve the test or something.

Yea, my stats were:

Science GPA: 4.00

Overall GPA: 3.3-3.5? (I went too a lot of schools so I’m not completely sure.)

TEAS: 84.7%

Bachelor’s degree

4 life experiences, 700+ hrs as a CNA and about 200hrs as an LVN when I submitted my application.

I ended up accepting my spot with the bridge program so hopefully that allows someone else to the spot for the regular program. The meeting is on Thursday, November 10th from 3 to 4 pm via Zoom.

my stats were as follows:

LVN 4 year experience 

CNA 2.5 years

science GPA 3.7

overall 3.9

TEAS overall 80.5%
 

science TEAS 93%

I just received email I got into both programs. I accept the bridge program. So hopefully that opens up spot for someone else! Good luck everyone!
