Rio Hondo College Spring 2023 ADN Program

Updated:   Published

Hi, I haven't seen a post about this application round yet. I thought I would make one so we can share our stats and share any updates from Rio Hondo.

I applied to both the regular ADN program and LVN-RN program. I really hope this is my last time applying.

My stats:

4.0 science GPA

3.3-ish general GPA

84.7% TEAS

Experience: 50hrs volunteering, 500hrs work experience as a CNA, work experience 150+hrs as an LVN

2 life experiences

Bachelors degree

Did you literally just get the email right now?

Yes

I accepted the bridge application. This hopefully allows others to get into generic.

Specializes in MD, PhD , MBA, RN, BSN.

Got accepted to generic ADN program. Will probably give up my spot!

Im confused — who are getting the letters now? People who applied both to the generic ADN and bridge program? Why did someone say they got accepted to the ADN program?

Have they reached out to everyone already? How about wait lists?

I got accepted to the generic and bridge as well. This should open up more spots for the generic. Good luck guys!

Specializes in LVN.

@livelongandprosper I went to Rio for my LVN. It was pretty rough but let me tell you the teaching were great. I still remember things/tips I was taught in my day to day work as an LVN. They gave me a great foundation as a nurse! Good luck everyone!

I jusr got the email I got in!! You guys I am so happy. I have been applying to programs for 2 years and this is my first acceptance letter!! It’s crazy I honestly didn’t thing I would get in because my stats are not that competitive.
