Rio Hondo College ADN Spring 2024

Hello. I haven't seen a thread for Rio Hondo ADN Spring 2024 applicants so I made one for anyone else who is applying and has questions or wants to keep in touch for the application process.

Has anyone received any information regarding a mandatory orientation or know if we're going to have one? Just checking.

 Also, how many uniform sets are you buying and what type of white shoes/brand...?

I don't have FB, sorry if it's a repeat topic. Thank you.

As of now, they haven't sent any information about orientation. I think they're going to send orientation info by December. 
I haven't bought my uniform yet, I'm most likely going to the December 8 event and I'll try to purchase the uniform from them directly

Unsure about the orientation too! I have one set of uniform I'm going to order another couple shirts just to be safe, I don't like the way their women's pants fit, so I'm going to get some pewter scrub pants from elsewhere. And for shoes I wear cloves for my 12 hour shifts so I'm just going to get an all white pair for school. They're a little pricier, but comfortable, they will last, and keep your feet dry from any mishaps! I don't have FB either LOL.

They're strict about the shoes, as long as they're clean, mostly white, and NOT a cloth or mesh material you should be fine for shoes. I've seen people use these and get away with it.

Does anyone know by chance when the NSO insurance has to be active? Should it start from when we purchase or will they accept it if the start date it January 1st, before the semester start, for example?

I emailed (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) about that too and she said it should be fine if the effective date is right before the start of the semester.
