Rio Hondo College ADN Spring 2020

Published

Hey everyone! I thought I'd open this forum for those of us applying to Rio Hondo. Applications are right around the corner and it would be great to use this as a means of communication. Feel free to post, ask questions, or respond. I hope to hear from you!

Hello dnk11! I'll be applying as well. Where else have you applied ?

Hi Quiche! I applied to Glendale last month and I'm also thinking of applying to PCC and Cypress. I missed the application period for LA Harbor... getting those transcripts sent on time from my previous schools has been a bit of a pain. What about yourself?

@dnk11 I, too, wanted to apply to GCC but I also had problems with getting my transcripts sent on time so I couldn't ? I applied to mt sac. and cypress and will also apply to PCC. Good luck to you!

Hello, I'm preparing to apply. We aren't submitting our transcripts with the application? Most places want us to include a copy with the application. We just send it to admissions and records?

@Maga12 To my understanding Rio wants official transcripts to be sent only to admissions and records. The secretary in the nursing office also mentioned that we should only submit the application once we know for certain that all of our transcripts have been received by admissions.

Hello! I just turned in my application on Friday, and it seemed like they wanted to make sure that all transcripts including TEAS were sent. The secretary asked me if I had already sent my TEAS score when I turned in my application

Hello everyone,

I applied as well for Rio Hondo for the LVN-ADN program. Was just wondering if anyone applied for the bridge program too? And I'm also curious if someone knows how many people they take in for the generic program apart from the bridge program?

Thank you

@hopefulfutureRN07 Hi there! I'm applying to the generic program but from what I remember there are 40 spots per application period. The nursing counselor said something about how the bridge program is separate from the generic though... I believe the bridge program spots are dependent on how many students (from last years cohort) drop out from the generic program that would've begun their 2nd year. So we're not really in competition with one another for those 40 seats.

Thank you! Appreciate it

Hello!!! Sorry I’m late to the party. I applied already as well.

I applied to GWC, LBCC, Rio Hondo, cypress, and Saddleback. I’m thinking about applying to Santa Ana as well

Does anyone know when we find out?

Hello everyone! I applied to RHC Spring 2020 cohort as well ? RHC doesn't provide how many points each item is on their multi criteria selection but hopefully we have enough to get in.
