Hey guys! I just wanted to start a thread for Rio Hondo ADN Summer 2022 Applicants! I got an email last week saying we should hear back about mid March! Crossing my fingers for us all!

I got a call (that I missed) yesterday, and an email acceptance today

I'm in, my stats:

3.5 Sciences

3.5 Overall

Bachelor's

CNA 500+ working hours

-cant remember my points as I mailed everything in without making a copy apparently. 

-being male probably helped. 

-also applied at 9 other colleges, had an 87 with Cerritos which was my second choice, but would rather not wait, Rio Hondo was in fact definitely my first choice! See you at orientation this Friday! ?

Didn't help me. ? I think Rio Hondo prioritizes people with a lot of healthcare experience, high TEAS scores, and having a bachelor above all else.

Me too ?. 
By the way Pasadena city college’s dead line is tomorrow. They have an option of choosing to do your bachelors at the same time with some deal they have with Azusa Pacific University.

I didn't get my denial letter or the original e-mail saying my application was received. Did anyone else have that happen to them?

Hello! 

is there a spot where all the students who were accepted are gathered to share questions or updates? A facebook group or something like that?

There are two ways to create a special area for your cohort, that are Terms-of-Service approved.

One is to create a facebook page.  This link is allowed to be posted.

 The other is to create a "Club" within the site, by clicking on the Breakroom link (upper left-hand corner, in the yellow bar) and in the green area, click Start a Breakroom Club.

Any other references or links posted are not TOS-approved, and will be removed.

Hello! I'm considering applying to Rio Hondo but I'm confused about the prereqs. Is ADN 151 required to take before applying? Thanks!

No. If you’re accepted you’ll take fundamentals in either Spring or Summer before med surg and pharmacology.
