Hey guys! I just wanted to start a thread for Rio Hondo ADN Summer 2022 Applicants! I got an email last week saying we should hear back about mid March! Crossing my fingers for us all!

I'm surprised they are doing it so soon considering that many other schools are not formally accepting students until around May. Did they mention when the mandatory meeting will be if you turn out to be accepted?

They just said mid March if selected, you will be receiving a letter via email indicating your selection and more information regarding the mandatory advisement meeting. If not selected we will receive an email late April. The advisement meeting is scheduled for April 8th 1-4pm.

I did not receive the e-mail and I have been trying to call the nursing department for a week or two now to make sure they received my application. I imagine they're really busy because it keeps going to automatic. Has anyone been to get into contact with them, and if so, what number?

No updates on my end yet. From past years it looks like people got their emails the last week of March 1st or 1st of April! Crossing my fingers for us all.

From what I saw from the threads for Spring 2022 and Fall 2021, it seems they start notifying us about 3-4 days before the orientation meeting, despite being told to expect a decision before that LOL.
I also had a question- did you guys include an actual copy of your SSN or just provide the number? I provided my SSN number on the 2 page application where it asked for your name, demographics and schools but didn't want to submit a copy of my actual SSN card because that's very sensitive information (and God knows what they do with it if you don't get in). I called them and when I asked about it, one lady told me submit a copy of the card and when I called another day, another lady said just write down the number on your application. I just submitted my number but not a copy and attached a post it with what the ladies told me so they would know, but to be honest don't remember what the website instructed BEFORE they updated it.
They updated the website and with the update it said you have to submit a copy of your SSN but to be honest, I don't remember if it specified for that in the website info before they updated the website.

**for the record, the second lady had told me, I would only have to submit a copy of my SSN **IF** I was accepted. But now it's bothering me because that would be a petty reason to consider an application incomplete, ya know? :o

I don't remember if the site nursing website originally mentioned that or not but I do know they made a big deal about it being a physical copy of your social security at the nursing session.
I don't think they will deny it or call it incomplete if it's missing though. I would try to get it or call the dean to affirm this for you

I mean, it the SSN itself wasn't "missing" because I provided the number on the application, just not the copy. But I will definitely call em and ask. They are so inconsistent with the info they present, it was frustrating. And then, the two ladies also told me different things! But thank you anyways ?
Just an update, I saw on a facebook group that Rio Hondo has already started sending acceptance emails. Have not received anything myself. ?
