Sorry all you Cna's out there, but with all the stuff we have to go thru in school about meds, I agree that that the patient has the right to have meds managed by a nurse.

The CNA's in the facilities I've been in aren't allowed to pass meds. I'm surprised they can in other places?!?

That's a good way to remember them! Even though we didn't have to know them in order, I still found myself forgetting some of them. :stone Thanks for the witty nmonic (sp).

The way different places do things differently is so interesting :)
We don't have anything about documentation, which you would think would be a given. The sixth right here is right clinical scenario - in other words, withhold antihypertensive if the BP is low etc

We were taught "right technique" (as in injecting at correct angle etc)...interesting to see all the other ideas out there!
