Please make sure that your center is using nurses that have been licensed in the US, and hold a current license if they are preparing you for working in the US. And have actually worked in the US.
Memberships in any organizations in the US, or even a relationship supposedly with, such as the American Heart Association mean absolutely nothing in terms of preparing you for working over here.
Do not choose a center just on its name, but on the instructor that will be preparing you. Make sure that they are who they say they are, and can deliver what they promise to, or ask for your money back. And get it back.
This thread was started in response to several pms and e-mails that I have received concerning this happening in Manila. Do not get caught in a scam.
Whether it is with a review center or an agency, if you are getting taken advantage of, REPORT IT to the proper authorities that can do something about it. No one should get taken advantage of.

I just wanna say thank you to Suzanne for the concern re. this thread. I want to speak for my fellow Filipinos, if i may, that we appreciate your sincerity. We hope you won't get tired of helping people like what you are doing now. Thank you so much Suzanne! :balloons:
You are very welcome. :)
I am just very tired of seeing nurses getting taken advantage of by unscrupulous people.
Also, ask them what their pass rate is for the students that have gone thru their program. And ask for documented proof..........

Thanks suzanne! you have been very helpful indeed! :)
I sent you a pm, I looked up that lecturer, and his license has been revoked, meanign taken away by the Board of Rgistered Nursing in CA, so shame on him for giving everyone all that garbage about what he can do. He can't even call himself an RN in the US, as he no longer holds that title, it was stripped from him.
So as another warning to all of you, make sure that your trainer has the credentials that they say that they do.:)

suzanne, is it true that the board of nursing in california is authorizing giving of training such as IV theraphy, hemo, charting etc. we have a training school here in the philippines that says so... they would even show certification with teh logo of the BON of California giving or authorizing them to give such trainings.... and it is enpensive.. hope to hear from you soon... they would even tell us they are nurses in the US
Sorry, but forget about that. All of you are getting taken advantage of. Any training that you need will be given to you by the facility where you will be working.
My personal opinion, if you think it is sounding too good to be true, or is shady, contact the source, such as the Board of Registered Nursing and check out this company. I am sure that the BRN would be very interested in seeing their logo used overseas.
Save your money.:)
can i ask what is the name of the training school you are saying? :)

mis suzanne! How and where can I complain at the American heart? I can't find an email address at their website...
You can look up American Heart Association on the web and get their address for their national headquarters. You can try AHA if you cannot find it spelled out.
