What does anyone who has had to retake the NCLEX feel about how long you should wait to retake the test??? In my state u only have to wait for 45 days....I can schedule a test after this. Just wanted some thoughts from anyone who has had to repeat the exam once or more times as to what time frame you waited to test??? Any thoughts would be appreciated!

I didn't rush to resit, wanted to know I had studied properly before setting the date. However one you get your ATT you are limited in most cases to 90 days to book the test. 60 days as long as you have a good structured time table should be more than enough. Also give yourself a break before starting again and start as if you haven't sat the exam before

You just reapply to your state after you find out you failed. Few days later, they will email you your ATT which will say that you are allowed to take the exam 45 days since the last time you took it. Initially, i was rushing to take it again since the information was so fresh in my mind but the more I thought about it, I decided to give myself a little more time than 45 days in between to rewrite. Plus - I wanted to try Suzanne's plan and her plan prepares you ~2 months before.

Please don't rush to retake the test. Study as if you will be taking it for the first time and give yourself sufficient time to get ready. You are the best judge of when you are ready. Good luck.

Hello everyone!
I haven't been online for awhile...because I actually have the best news...I THOUGHT I had failed the NCLEX with 75 questions...because it had a message posted on the board website that my results were "pending" and my friend took hers the day before and hers were posted right away....nevertheless I PASSED!!!!!!! I had even went out and bought this book to study and after almost a week my results were posted that I had in fact PASSED!!!! I am sorry everyone for posting about failing...although I am very happy that I passed the first time! I have to say this to anyone who did fail...KEEP TRYING and you will pass....this is one thing I learned from this website after reading many, many posts from people during the week that I THOUGHT I failed....:heartbeatDONT GIVE UP>>>>

Glad to hear that you passed the exam.
And this just gives more proof that one should never assume anything and wait until they get their actual results.
Best of luck to you.
