I finally took my test today for the first time, and I'm disappointed in myself. I would say it's a decent score for local(68%), but I was reaching for higher. The Science was what threw me off, I know, but luckily I knew enough broad concepts to try and eliminate better. The 20+ hours of studying science specifically didn't help as much as I was hoping. But still, it's an alright score.
Unfortunately, this is apparently the first time my school has used the TEAS as an admittance factor. The program's average is 64, and although most of my subscores are higher than my program average, I'm not so confident about getting in. My nursing advisor is absolutely useless no matter how specific I make my questions, and so I'm not sure how confident I should feel about using this score. Luckily for me, I overheard some people discussing that they made 50s. I'm allowed to take it one more time in six weeks. Should I take advantage of it, or do I still have a chance?

I'm in the about the same boat as you. I interviewed and they told me I had to do the TEAS ASAP so I took the first one that I could before their deadline and did not get to study at all and I got a 63.3%. I'm not sure what the outcome is so I don't even know if I can take it again. I didn't think it would be that hard because I took the HESI a couple months ago (again without having time to study) and I got 86% on that. I am so disappointed and hope all the other factors will override and I still get accepted.
If they gave you the opportunity to take it again, I would take advantage of it. You have an idea on how the test is now so you have a lot better chance of raising your score and if nothing else I'm sure it can't go lower.

WARNING!!! It CAN go lower and the latest score is the one that gets accepted. You have do decide if the benefits outweigh the risks.

Yes, I would definitely take it again. I took mine twice, after I reviewed the material that ATI said I didn't the poorest on ( did you notice that in your results?). I did better the second time, what state are you in?
I'm guessing that's the rule for some schools, but the one I sent my scores to accepted whichever you chose:yeah:

I took mine twice and they took the best score. I would re-test for sure.. especially if you know where you were weak in. Just work on those areas and you should do well.
Good Luck.
Thanks guys. Yeah, my score being lower is something I'm worried about. I live in Alabama, and the nursing adviser practically evades every single question I have by presenting a new one, so I have no idea if they'll accept the highest or most recent :/

My plan is to do really good on the math, reading and verbal skills sections, so that they can carry my score. I am hoping for 85+ in those three.
