Please kindly take the time to read the "Primer" at the top of this forum.

NCLEX-RN is the US licensing exam for work in the US as an RN. It is offered by Pearson-Vue in different countries, but you do not apply for that exam. You must apply to a state Board of Nursing and be given permission to even sit for that exam. It is the final step of the licensing process, and not the only one.

Please read, and then come back and ask questions. It will be must easier then for us to answer, if you know what needs to be done.

I don't know exactly the requirements needed for NCLEX in the said places but I have another question I want to raise. I'm a Registered Nurse in the Philippines and I am planning to apply for NCLEX in Saipan because I heard that the processing of papers there is faster compared to other states. Anyways I just want to ask if how true is that. HOw long will it take for me to get my eligibility test after I send the application form? And assuming I passed the exam and was granted a license in Saipan, how long will it take for me to work in the US through endorsement. thanks.

Based from my recent conversation with the head of saipan BON Ms. R. Tudela, The processing time right now is 3 months and according to her what makes the processing slow is the arrival of documents coming from the school and other registering agency. She also stressed that make sure you accomplish the forms accurately and completely to avoid further delay.

Regarding endorsement to other state Im sure that they have there own time line in processing your license and the the question of how long will it take for you to work in the US in totally a different story, It all depends on how fast you can get your US visa.:typing

NCLEX is a licensing exam, it is only one step in the process of getting a license in the US. If you are not planning to work there, you are going to need to endorse to the state that you wish to work in. And that can take you longer, if you go the route of Saipan.

Getting a nursing license does not give you automatic permission to work in the US, you must go thru the immigration process and get a visa to do so. And in case that you have not heard, there is a retrogression in place that will slow you down from doing anything.

Please take the time to do some reading on this forum, or you will be spending quite a bit of money that you do not need to do.

I think you don't have to reapply if you were'nt able to take the exam maybe you just have to re-register at pearson vue to have another schedule.

Your eligibility for Saipan BON is valid for 1 year and if expires you need to apply again . I heared $ 75 re application fee. Im also positive that it would be less that 3 months for you. Best of Luck!:wink2:

hi everyone is there anybody here who tried to register via mail for their ATT instead of using a credit card? Because it says that you must enclose a certified check or money order (payable to the NCSBN) for $200. Then i decided to take in an international test center and another $150 fee for international scheduling, my question is when and where do i enclose the $150, should i include it immediately with the $200 or is it separated? PLS anybody knows thanks a lot.

Your eligibility for Saipan BON is valid for 1 year and if expires you need to apply again . I heared $ 75 re application fee. Im also positive that it would be less that 3 months for you. Best of Luck!:wink2:

hi thanks for the reply...Saipan eligibility will expire May 2007, but ATT expired last October 5...tell me if im wrong, but isnt it that once you register for PearsonVue, the eligibility ends?...or the same eligibility can be use again in re-registering with pearsonvue for take 2 exam?
