renew nursing license concern

Not to get too personal by my girlfriend is going through a pretty ugly custody battle. her ex has called children and youth on her numerous times all with unfounded results post investigation. Now they decided to go after me. My results are unfounded and I am up for renew on October. Does the BON do Child abuse checks. If they do would having an "Unfounded" report effect my renew?

Do not lie on questionnaire for renewal. If you were not charged, you should not have to put it on your renewal, but read it carefully, so you are truthful

Usually yes they do. BoN also check for unpaid student loans Consider consulting with an attorney or perhaps getting a restraining order/pressing charges against your girlfriend's ex for filing retaliatory false complaints

I am considering all the above. Believe me. The worker told me it should not effect my renewal since nothing was found or charged. All it would state is that an inquiry/investigation was made and nothing was found.

Why would a BON check for unpaid student loans?

Specifically student loans in default. You cannot renew a professional license in any discipline with a defaulted student loan per federal regulations

Some states also check to see if you owe back taxes before they renew as well.
